  1. People keep saying this but it's a myth.

Yes, Marchand got away with speed bagging Daniel, (he didn't actually get away with it, he was penalized, but so was Danny. A clear case of "game management) however, the Canucks had a sizable advantage in power plays in that series. The real issue is that they didn't take advantage of it.

I agree with your earlier point that it was injuries that were the team's downfall. Hammer, Raymond and Rome... all out. Hank, Kes, Ehrhoff, Juice, Manny, Samuelsson and Edler all walking wounded. Hard to comete when you're that beat up.

Finally, I disagree with your comment about his "credibility". Blindly hating a team because CDC tells you that you should doesn't earn you credibility, nor does refusing to jump on the hater's bandwagon lose it.

If you want to see what "lost credibility" looks like, you should take a close look at some of the silly things being said by Bruin haters in both this thread and the other Bruin-centric threads in the General forum.

You think its a myth.. This does not mean that it is.. Just like my opinion that it is does not make it so.. See how that works??

I've seen enough crap from this league to firmly believe there is a bias in games. Nobody will convince me otherwise. That is my stance on the game we're being given today. Doesn't mean that won't change in the future.

And CDC is hardly a place I'm going to run along with based on popular opinion. I'm basing my thoughts off of what I've witnessed watching the bruins play for the last few seasons.

Lots of people like to throw out the "butthurt about 2011" comment, which I always find comical, as a means to try to discredit very valid points made about the way that Boston plays and the antics they get away with.

Sure other teams do it, but the Bruins are definitely hypocrites about it. They do it because they know they can get away with it, which they continually do.

I blame the Bruins less than I blame the NHL.. They need to set the precedent, and I'm still waiting for the moment when they actually do. Until such time, the league is no longer a world-class league in my eyes and the credibilitybof the game is tainted, from their crap officiating and tolerance of it, to their abysmal player discipline, and everything else in between.

But whatever, people seem to love goon hockey these days so I doubt anything will change.

  2. I am a Vancouver fan more than I am a Leafs fan so yes I know how it feels. It isn't fun. At the same time it's 3 years ago and I'm personally over it. They were the better team in that series. Luongo is the sole reason why we won game 5. Wanna know what else isn't fun? When all your friends bandwaggon one team and think they're the best and won't shut up about them. So yes, I will be beyond ecstatic when Montreal is eliminated. And that's nice you hate Boston. I hate Montreal.

I disagree that they were the better team.. I think we sustained horrible injuries that allowed Boston to run away with it.

I also think that the league was on their side and still is.

And lastly, I definitely believe that some of the comments youve made in this thread has lostvyou a ton of credibility, and with that I will leave you to your mumbo jumbo.

  3. Absolutely disgraceful. Hope that team gets crushed by the B's in game 7.

Just Montreal fans being classy as always.

Wonder how CDC would act if Boston fans threw crap at the Habs, but they wouldn't sink that low.

No.. Boston fans will instead jeer a player like Mason Raymond while he lay on the ice with a broken back.

Do me a favor,. If you're gonna post in this thread with the intent of defending the bruins, TRY HARDER. You are not convincing anyone here and are making yourself sound very foolish

  4. I really dislike the bruins.. Even If I were to completely disregard 2011, their players and many of the fans have zero sportsmanship.

Look at today, Thornton spraying water at subban? For what purpose?

These guys are like immature teenagers and show no respect to their opponent at all.

    Dispicable.

I really hope that they get what they deserve, if not from the Habs then from the next team they play. So sick of those guys

  5. I'm still glad that AV is gone.. we needed to move on from him as well as Gillis.

If the Sedins don't have a bounceback season, although it hurts to say, I think the same applies to them.. its not about hurt feelings, its about winning hockey games.. the team needs to do what it has to to get back to its winning ways.

AV is not a bad coach.. like anything, after a while, change is needed. Now we're going to get that. Doesn't mean it will make everything better, but its just how it has to be.

  6. Definitely.. And did you hear Moj yesterday afternoon talk about Gillis? He brought this up calling MG arrogant and immature for doing that.. I lolled.

The butthurt is clearly strong still with that meathead.. It made my day hearing him squirm during his "bottom line".. It sounded like he was waiting for years now for MG to be canned so he could get his revenge. What an oaf.

  7. I'm surprised more of you aren't utterly disappointed with this game.

A game where even if they had a small chance of making it, you at least go out with guns blazing

18 shots and on a rookie keeper no less.

No heart, no drive, no pride..

Honestly I'm pissed at the sedins and Kesler and burrows more after watching this game than any others this season and that should say a lot.

These guys are supposed to be leaders on this team but they in my opinion have proven that they lack the will and the depth.

I have been a long time supporter of these players even when they would have trouble finding offence.. But this game just proved to me that these guys are lacking in character and don't have the drive anymore.

I don't know if its injuries, or that Boston actually broke them, or that they don't like torts, or just that they'd rather be golfing.. But I'm tired of seeing them show no drive in a game that could be your last of the season.

Brutal and pathetic.if this team doesn't wake up for this coming season, it will be the first season of my life that I will willingly ignore this team until they show me that they want to win and play hard not just for a fracking paycheque.

Yes, I'm pissed.. And what's sad is that I'm probably more pissed then anyone on our roster right now.

  8. God I'm so sick of the media.. Listening to CBC panel right now is laughable.. Stirring up crap and acting like they know so much better than anyone working in the NHL.

Between them and team 1040 practically making up their own section of content to the recent torts and mg interviews its enough to make me nauseous

Nothing but speculation, conjecture and trying to rile people up.. Healy, stock, MacLean and weakest need to g t eff o

  9. yeah your right between me and a couple of my best buds we only have 40 years combined between the pipes thats all...oh yeah and a uncle of mine played in the NHL too i wonder if you can guess what position... GOALIE!!!... and we all agree that this is valuable experience and lack should be playing....

If that is true and you have played goal as you say, then I'm actually lolling over here that you think a [rookie] goaltender, playing behind a team that has given up, for 18 straight games, having to face the media after each loss and getting scored on by the bucketload is a good thing.

But whatever you and your expert buddies say I guess hah

  10. why do people think goalies should be treated any different than the rest of the team.... no one else has the luxury of hiding at the end of the bench under a ball cap when things are going well soo why should goalies??? this is all very valuable experience lack is getting... who cares what the team is doing in front of him, its lack vs the kings and this is how a young goalie gets to know the opposition better and seeing is how they are in our division and hes our starter he should be in net...

You make it too obvious that you've never played in goal.
