This loss pretty much sums up the Canucks' 43 years of existence, lol
And constantly blaming luongo sums up 100% of the worst canucks fans.
Can't win games scoring no more than 2 goals for most of your games.

I've been reading many posts about our d corps being solid.. Mmmmm not so much.
Still can't score.. PP looking fragile.. This team is in a lot of trouble unfortunately.

Did you miss the 2 goals in 9 seconds? Especially when he can't close is five hole fast enough or can't beat a shot that went right at him? Good comment though, can tell a lot of thought went into it. As much thought as the content of your comment.
You have got to be the biggest hypocrite ever to write this..
The majority of your posts consist of 4-7 words that say next to nothing, add no value whatsoever, and are said more to instigate or provoke people on here because of how critical and usually negative they tend to be.
If I didn't think you're a troll before you've proven that you are to me now 100%.. I only hope others will see you for what you really are instead of responding to your nonsense.

Yknow, I don't understand why some of you believe that all we need is to get another D and top 6 sniper and suddenly we're on the road to the cup finals.. like day after day I come on here to read up on the Canucks and this is all I read.. "we need this and we need that".
Hate to break it to you, but its not like adding these couple pieces instantly make this team a contender. Sure it would help, but its unrealistic to believe that you can have a couple players added that will suddenly change everything. That type of thinking to me is a fallacy.
Its happened SO many times in the past "Oh, Kesler is healthy again, now he will go on a tear".. and then he doesn't. "Oh once we get booth back, that will help our scoring".. and then it doesn't. "Oh, getting Roy can be the difference and push us closer to elite level" expect that he doesn't.
I just keep reading a lot of wishful thinking from Canucks fans.. some of you need to get a dose of reality.. and the Canucks are giving it to you in spades right now. I'm not trying to troll. I mean I want to see the team win like anyone else, but I also don't think its healthy to sugarcoat and live in dreams about this team. Call it for what it is for a change! This club has had a great run for the past few seasons. They’ve deteriorated in terms of their play and roster where other teams have all improved.. this is just a fact.
It will take time, but this team will get back to it sooner or later.. I just hope some of you can get over this stuff since you are deluding yourselves to keep believing that we are one or two tweaks away from winning a cup.. its just getting ridiculous to read constantly.

I keep reading the Canucks scored 1 goal but they scored 2. Dallas also scored 2.
This.. Some of the people on here need a Ritalin to settle down a bit.. They faced a great goaltending performance and scored two goals (and based on how they were playing would have probably come out with one or two more) but the officials decided that one didn't count even though he was 10 feet away.
Why even bother having two officials on the ice.. They tend to flub more calls now than ever before.

God what's with some of you.. Yeah the Canucls need to score more goals, this much is obvious..
Yet the way some of you people act, you'd think that its not unfair to have to play against the opposition AND the officials.
They are happy to review and call back goals that appear to be kicked in, yet they choose not to revisit an obviously good goal which could very well ha e been the difference in this game.. The Canucks were skating circles around Dallas at this point in the game.. And you mean to try to tell me one disallowed goal wouldn't be the difference?
Get real.. Some of you need to take off the NHL glasses and start seeing what this league is really all about..
And for god sakes stop using " the Canucks didn't score" as some blanket reason to overlook horrible and inconsistent officiating which is leading to games being directed instead of being played

I seriously can't stand this league any more.. It becoming f*cking intolerable.
I swear to god I don't care who wins the game I just want it to be called fairly. When calls are constantly made up, missed or wrong, it tarnishes the outcome of the game..
This game vs Dallas now we will never know how it should have all gone down because of all the errors made by the officials. This is happening all over the league..
Last game we were given a penalty in OT.. A penalty that too affected the outcome of the game as it was far too weak to call in OT.. Regular time its a very small maybe
As a fan I want my Canucks to win, but if they are going to win or lose, I want it to be fair. just like any fan of any other team.
Right now the league and their inability to reform or even acknowledge the terrible officiating is ruining hockey. Unfortunately fans are so passive about it all generally that its going to continue. For fans who claim to be so die-hard, I sure see a lot of fans not willing to come to terms that this league effing sucks.

Don't let you blind hatred toward AV impair your reasoning. AV is in no way to blame for any of this teams's woes. The responsibility lies with Gillis, ownership, Kesler, the Twins, Bettman, poor officiating, Raymond falling down, global warming, Obama Care, Luongo, Bieksa, Eastern Bias, and a variety of flu-like symptoms picked up on a weekend getaway in Spain.
AV bearing any responsibility is a myth. Anyone who is not in agreement with this clearly logical conclusion is not only an idiot, but has let their blind hatred for AV cloud their ability to come to the correct conclusion.
So you're calling other people blind idiots yet you have no problem saying that AV is not at all at fault for anything?

No that's not how it works...........so don't damn well insult our intelligence.
It works the same way other GM's work........YOU TRAD WHAT YOU HAVE TO GET BETTER.
That is all about JUDGEMENT and BARGAINING ABILITY.
These players are not your sons or your best friends. They are players belonging to the Club. You don't throw NTC's at them to guarantee they will be at the Christmas Party for the next 5 years, you keep the situation as fluid and flexible as you can so that when you need to upgrade you have the pieces to do it.
Gillis backed himself into a corner till he was only able to sign rehabs and duds for this team. He performed as an Agent and NOT as a GM.
He has neither the mindset or the experience to get us out of this clusterf-ck he has created and ironically got rid of the only guy who was keeping us in the game despite Gillis continued brain farts and loss of focus.
I'm not about to say gillis is infalible and hasn't done a perfect job.. I think we can all agree he hasn't.. What GM could?
I agree with Mikes assertion that the landscape is always changing, whether people wish to view this as an excuse or not.. Its undeniably true.
That being said, your posting regarding making trades reads as if there were always trades available for MG to make.. Yes, the fact that he handed out NTCs to numerous players handcuffs him, no doubt.. But the fact remains that there is no guarantee there would be trades available to begin with.. Or that the prices wouldn't be too steep.
Everyone seems to expect MG to win every trade.. Well that's just not possible.. Some will turn out, others may not.
I still fail to see what any of the above has to do with a power play that crashed and burned over the past few seasons after being one of the best in the league (can't blame that all on ehrhoff and saloon leaving), and a team with as much skill as the Canucks playing 20 minutes a game for well over a year now.
You can claim the lack of a supporting cast all you like, but that to me just reeks of giving our players a free pass. They played not to lose, they played soft uninspried hockey, and mailed it in o n many a night leaving their goaltenders hanging out to dry. Again, blame Gillis for personnel issues, but I blame the coaching staff for countless nights where the team, whatever makeup of players it may have been, was not ready to come out hard and instead coasted through the motions. Coaching coaching coaching coaching coaching.

He was the best coach for the Canucks.

It was time and they made the right move.. Especially getting rid of brown and bowness.
And all you people slamming MG, what the hell do you expect the guy to do, run over to the free agent tree and pick whatever players you want?
FFS some of you act like any GM can just go out and grab any player they want and give up nothing for them.. I'm so glad that our GM has more tact and patience than these CDC gms. Sheesh.

Agree here.. I was watching the game out at a pub and didn't hear he calling of the game, but that TO and the Torts was fired up.. Made me feel like we witnessed exactly what the team was missing with AV for all those seasons.
Really shook our team, refocused them, and from that moment, I feel, turned it all around for our club..
