Mind blowing. So much cheaper than it costs in Canada, even after accounting for exchange rates.

I love Canada, but everything except health care is cheaper down here. I wouldn’t say housing is cheaper down here, though it can be, but the way I would word it is you get a better deal here, because while housing may seem more expensive in terms of raw dollar amount, wages are way higher for a lot of roles (a few jobs not so much, mind you). So you can live in a nice, safe area and not spend more than 30% of your income a month on rent, for example

American football is the only others sport..Euro Football when it's the World Cup.  Do you know ahead of time if the games are going to be blacked out?  It would suck to have a few friends over for some drinks and the Canucks game only to find out it won't be shown.

Yep, any time the Canucks play against your region’s local team, the game will be blacked out

For example, I live in Torrance, California, which is in Los Angeles County, so the Canucks-Kings and Canucks-Ducks games are always blacked out. Note that you will still see the game show up in your ESPN+ upcoming hockey game feed, but when you click on it when it’s game time, it’ll tell you it’s blacked out

There are also games that show up in your ESPN+ feed that are actually streamed on ESPN2, ESPN3 or even ESPN, and those are separate channels not included in your ESPN+ subscription. It’s a little confusing the way they set it up, but in order to see those channels you need to add a “TV” subscription that gives you access to those channels, like FuboTV or Sling. I have Sling because it’s the cheaper option at US$35 a month and I get all the ESPN channels

$7 per game or full the whole season? SN Now is about $200 CAD per year.

US$7 a month for ESPN+, which streams not just hockey but a variety of sports and you get access to the 30 for 30 documentaries

  4. Ya, ESPN+ is the affordable option, but you do get the occasional blackouts and they don’t stream all the pre-season games. Pretty good deal at US$7 though

You can also be on the look out for promo deals on the Disney+ bundle if you want Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+
