what are you talking about all these teams
Kings Bruins and Hawks are the only legit contenders going deep pretty much every year since 2010
if you actually look at Cup finals you will see quite often teams drop off and have a tough time maintaining the same consistency
Philly NJ Carolina Tampa Bay Detroit Pittsburgh Vancouver Dallas Ottawa Calgary Edmonton all teams who reached the finals and struggled to stay a legit contender
yes but every single one of those teams with the exception of the Sens and us has won a cup before, that's the difference

Way too go Canucks #2011
lol we won game 1 AND 2 as well....
-
Is anyone else getting tired of watching all these teams get to the finals, win, and remain legit cup contenders while we constantly get to the cup finals, lose, and then drop off the face of the earth?

This is pretty serious... hope everyone will be fine and they catch him.
he killed 3 cops and injured 2 more, they aren't catching this guy they're going to blow him away
-
hope the cops empty every clip they have into this piece of trash

someone asked me if i was trying to gain weight today because I told them I was taking whey protein isolate lol
i just bert-stared them and walked away -
Kings have been in the league since 1967. I wouldn't put them in the same boat as the Panthers or Coyotes. Their fan base is pretty damn loyal, too.
the tv audience in LA for the NBA conference finals was 3 times bigger than for the NHL conference finals lol. Tells you all you need to know about hockey in LA, non-LA based NBA teams even get more attention.
-
Kings all the way. NYR is a good possession team, but LA is elite. NYR won't be able to keep up over 7 games unless Lundqvist plays the best hockey of his career.
If Quick is as terrible against the Rangers as he's been all playoffs then the Rangers can definitely steal some games if Lundqvist is playing well.
Quick is coming into the finals with a 2.86GAA for the playoffs lol

Maybe I'm missing something here but I'm not understanding all the Ranger love on this board.
For those of us who remember '94, who wants to see that again? And on the 20th anniversary of when the best team(and officials) money could buy beat our Canucks. No thanks.
I might be mistaken but I believe our friend Mark Messier has some token front office job with the Rangers. Who wants to see his name on the cup for a 7th time? Not me.
AV deserves a cup because the Canucks fired him? It's true, AV seems like a nice guy and he's a good coach, but he had the best chance at a cup anybody could hope for a few years ago and he blew it. It's not all his fault but he was the coach and he couldn't make the correct decisions which would've allowed the Canucks to squeeze out that 4th win.
That guy had high scoring, good defense, ace goaltending (at times), division title and Presidents Trophy winning teams, and all he could manage was one failed cup run sandwiched between 1st and 2nd round knockouts. Now he's in his first year in New York with another shot at the cup and Canuck fans are cheering for him? Obviously I'm not. If he wins with the Rags my question is why couldn't he do it here first? His team only managed 93 points in the weak metro division.
because he was coaching the Canucks and for whatever reason no matter how good a team we have or how much things seem to be in our favour, something always happens to make us lose.
If he wins with the Rangers it will pretty much confirm the Canucks are cursed

Damn it! the Queens are poised to win their second cup....
While we are in year 44 going cupless
if they're Queens then we're the court Jester

Lundqvist has been too good for too long to not win anything in the NHL (aside from a Vezina), it's his time. Rangers in 7 and AV lol's hard at the Canucks
-
lol @ there being 3 times more people watching basketball than hockey in LA when they don't even have a team in the conference finals in basketball. I hope Chicago wins because the hockey fanbase in LA really is just sad

And these are the teams we're going to lose to next year.
fixed

Chicago vs NY final, they aren't losing game 7 in the UC
-
I agree, but now Canucks are in *Caugh* rebuild *caugh* they have won me over
Blackhawks are simply more entertaining to watch, even the biggest homer can admit this
-
Haven't been this pumped in a while
+1
haven't seen hockey this consistently entertaining in a while
-
and this is why Chicago wins championships
absolutely unbelievable -
Nucks have absolutely no chance of competing with either team in the next 5 years.
sad, but true
and not just these 2. Anaheim, San Jose and also Colorado and St. Louis the way they're going
-
unreal game
the canucks honestly can't hold a candle to either of these teams -
Sounds fairly easy in retrospect since the Sedins sucked last season. Remember Richards was in a massive slump the last couple years and St Louis didn't have a good regular season (with the Rangers anyway). I think many were surprised by how they re-found their form.
that;s why i said currently
-
Screw the Kings and Hawks. Lets go Rangers!!
I think the Rags can beat Chi Town, but not LA.
If you don't think they can beat LA then why would they be able to beat Chicago if Chicago can beat LA?
-
Richards is not better than the Sedins.... and McDonagh is > anyone on Vancouver, or most teams. He's a top D man in this league.
I would currently take the combination of St. Louis and Richards over the Sedins in a heartbeat

AV is a great coach, but his shelf life with the Canucks was up. It was time to move on.
The shelf-life on the Canucks was up, not his time here with them. Coaches have had way longer tenure's than what he had here he's still a good coach and is proving that in New York.
-
henry and ranger speed is their ticket in winning. they are 2-0 v hawks, 1-1 v kings in reg season.
Minnesota was 3-1-1 against Chicago during the reg season. That means nothing
SCF: (5) New York Rangers vs (6) Los Angeles Kings
