To Vancouver: Will Borgen, Morgan Geekie
To Seattle: Conor Garland
Vancouver picks up a young RH defensemen that plays the body and is more of a stay at home. Morgan Geekie is a project that could turn into something. He played 3rd line minutes but was never really impactful. However at 24 years old he could still become a big bodied 3rd line centre with some coaching

Fabbro is gone for sure.
Maybe in a package for Rathbone etc...

So currently Nashville has Foote, Fabbro, Carrier and Lauzon who has played the right side this year at times. With the addition of Livingstone that is a lot of men on the right side for Nashville and does it make one of these defensemen available?

At this point I think I would rather keep Bo Horvat over JT Miller and trade Miller to LA who could use a 2nd line centre to allow them to move Danault to their 3rd line:
To LA: JT Miller and Danila Klimovich
To Vancouver: Sean Walker, Helge Grans and Alex Turcotte

Garland for Matt Roy
Myers for Lassi Thomson and a 2nd
Pearson for Ethan Bear

The Kraken don't really have much in the way of RD. Larsson and Borgen are the only natural right shots; the
others are lefties that can play right if need be.
That's why I'm always proposing a trade for Myers to Seattle. Myers would be a great fit as their 2nd rd.
They did add Ty Nelson in the draft but I think you are right that Tyler Myers would look good on the right side and they do have the cap space to add him.

Will Borgen represents and intriguing option for a potential RH Dman target that we may be able to buy low. He is 6’3 205lbs defensive minded with a mean streak that is just breaking into the NHL. Seattle currently has a wealth of defensemen with upcoming prospects like Cale Fleury so it may not cost as much to pry him away from Seattle. Seattle may covet some experienced wingers like Tanner Pearson to go along with their young centres. So a trade may look something like:
To Vancouver: Will Borgen, 3rd Round Pick
To Seattle: Tanner Pearson

Totally. The Big Apple could very well be overwhelming for a young guy and the completely wrong atmosphere, for all we know. Kakko on a young team like ours with a coach like Boudreau and a bigger role could be just what he needs. In the other hand, his numbers sure are underwhelming, so we do risk getting blinded by his draft position.
But the Vancouver market has been historically very kind to young prospects?

Could they be trying to trade him and get some value back in a young RH dman that is also a prospect?

Gadjovich would literally destroy Bailey in any physical altercation. Di Giuseppe is a plug who can't stay on one NHL team for any length of time so why is he guaranteed a spot on the 4th line?
Maybe do a little homework first before replying. Bailey is bigger, stronger, faster, scored more points in Utica and was a 2nd round draft pick. It’s okay for people to be upset at us losing a prospect but I disagree that he is NHL ready.

By that token 6 Mason Raymond types and we're cup favorites.
It’s not a bad thing that he isn’t ready yet to contribute at an NHL level it just sucks for us that he doesn’t get to develop in Abbotsford

Motte and Sutter won’t be ready.
And you literally just learned who DiGieuesppe was a couple weeks ago. Now he’s some elite 4th liner? Lol.
Gadjovich should have been given more runway with the injuries. Sadly our blunder may end up being a big win for San Jose.
No one called him elite he is just an NHL player and Gadjovich isn’t yet

Sutter and Motte are both unable to stay healthy so drop them out of your lineup. Neither being better support waiving him now as neither are starting the season.
He has promise and with the guys we still have in camp he still isn’t better than DiGiuseppe, Bailey, Lockwood or Petan. Yes those guys are coming back and yes they will be key members of our team because of what they provide.

Speed doesn't win you games. Goalscoring does. I like Lockwood and Podkolzin, but goalscoring should take precedence. I remember a number of years ago we had both Tuomo Ruutu and Jack Skille on PTOs during the preseason. Ruutu put up points, while Skille brought energy. We kept Skille. He didn't really do anything for us. When goalscoring in your bottom 6 is a problem and you have a player on your team that has shown the ability to score goals and put up points, you don't get rid of him because he's not as fast as some other player.
Speed is the new NHL and it does win games but I ask again where does he fit in our lineup:
Garland-Pettersson-Boeser
Pearson-Horvat-Höglander
Dickinson-Miller-Podkolzin
Di Giuseppe-Sutter-Motte
He isn’t better then anyone on our 3rd or 4th line here. He wasn’t better then Lockwood in camp and he isn’t as strong and physical as Bailey who also showed the scoring touch and has some NHL experience.

Just stop. The Benning excuses have gotten so tired.
This guy has literally thrown away young talent before giving them a shot time and time again.
But go ahead and tell me how good Dowling, DiGiuessepe, and Petan are, and how our bottom 6 as just too good to crack.
Go ahead and throw Gadjovich on the Penalty kill then remind me why we have guys like Di Giuseppe on our team.

Cue Canucks fans saying he wasn’t that good and that we had no place for him.
Pathetic throw away of a promising young player.
Where does he fit in our current lineup? Getting an “A” for effort doesn’t guarantee you a job in the NHL. Sure he was faster than last year but certainly not faster than Bailey, Lockwood and Podkolzin. This is the best league in the world and positions just aren’t handed out no matter how much you like the player. He seems like an incredible person, hard worker and has some upside so I hope he carves out a career in the NHL but we have been waiting to be in this position where it is difficult to make the team.

Whats the point of drafting these guys if they're never given a chance? Another high pick wasted smh
Only 12% of 3rd Round Draft picks make the NHL. Perhaps DiPietro and Klimavich are our 12%.

Never mind Highmore. Chaisson the guy that’s been gifted no 1 PP time from the hop on a flippin PTO
He was a stand in for Boeser yesterday and it’s very safe to assume that “PP1 Chaisson" doesn’t take the place of Hughes, Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser or Miller. He was basically a pylon yesterday.

Will Borgen is in the rumour mill and is a RFA.

Conor Geekie didn't perform to the expected level yet and needs more development and is signed for 918k over the next two years
