  1. Not sure where you looking bro. 12/13 and 13/14 markstrom was under .900 Florida gave up on him. First season with us he failed to make the team and cleared waivers. He is 29 right now by my calculations he was 23 when when he was passed on by Florida and 24 when he failed to make our team. He then struggled as a back up for us until last season mid December when he finally started to play to the potential people hoped he could. demko rookie season he is 23 and he already showing better numbers and would def not clear waiver if it was a possibility. Laughable ... lol
  2. Demko is light years ahead of markstrom at the same age. Markstrom was a bust. Markstrom now is reaching potential. Trade value at its peak. Canucks could benefit from trade.
  3. Sorry bud, markstrom on my phone goes to markstrum right away. I still have two days to post. “ you will be on here” would be the correct way of writing that. Guess that gives you only three days on here as well now.
  4. And we waste Demko peak years like we did Schneider. No thank you!
  5. You got some nice fairy tales going. Good bed time stories. Edler signed 12 million. The risk we don’t resign him after is worth the contract. Markstrum would require a 5+ contract minimum to pull off a verbal “we will sign you after expansion draft” deal. Other teams can offer him a 4 year deal expansion protected . Have you ever done any real life business or are you still in high school? after 16 games last season 90% of cdc wanted markstrum run out of town! Give markstrum a bad month and you will be the first to lead the charge. I am not picking Demko based on 16 games. I am picking Demko for the next 8 years. stecher is expendable. Expendable with a little value. Look how much you are defending him, must mean there is another sucker out there to sell his narrative on. Hopefully get a 3rd overall pick. It is nice to have him as depth this season but we will lose him next season for nothing, if we can ... big “if” I would take a 3rd round pick and take my chances with fatenburg Sautner, rafferty and even OJ
  6. Again markstrum is dying to sign one year deal. In case he has a bad season and loses a couple mill in the process. Smh not after 16 games, just in general. I would expect Demko to have a hard season. I would expect Canucks a top ten pick maybe lottery. I would expect next season to be better. But you also never know, Demko could take the crown and run with it? stecher is not who you think he is.. lol
  7. Why would he stay in Vancouver for one more year... smh Just thinking clearly. It’s what is best for Canuck future. This team right now might make playoffs. If they do would be a exit first round. We then lose assets for nothing or sign them impacting our future and remain mediocre. There is absolutely no reason we need Tanev beyond this season. We can go after free agents. Tanev is a injury bug. Either markstrum or Demko ??? I choose Demko stecher = Hutton if Stecher hits free agency the guy has a hard time finding a home. I am only implying trading him. That’s if a team would trade for him.??
  8. Hahaha yeah. Markstrum is itching to sign a one year deal.. lol Cap space was irrelevant when we signed loui to the 6 year contract. Pretty relevant now!
  9. I think you underestimate markstrum. Why would he resign with no expansion protection? Why would he not want to capitalize on a solid couple of seasons. He wants to get paid! He is finally reaching the potential he has. I really like markstrum. I think it’s either markstrum or Demko. Can’t have another Lou and Schneider. Schneider development got F@&$ed up by Canucks. He peaked way to late. we have zero cap right now! If we resign the three mentioned when EP and Hughes need money we will be scratching. Then Boeser will be up next and will want more (hopefully deserves and wants a lot more) then Horvat will be up next and want more. Demko is in the mix aswell.
  10. What’s pathetic is how up and down Canucks fans are. Cause we have been winning and Tanev has remained healthy for 14 games everybody forgets what he actually brings to the table. He brings a 40 game season. Last season people were hoping to trade him. What’s changed? The future does not need Tanev here. We need younger players that play! We need cap space for our younger players. We don’t have much assets that we can trade to get younger. Tanev has “some” value. Trade him! Markstrum has value, we can’t resign him. He will want protection and a raise. In a perfect world he signs for same term and money with no protection but that will not happen. Demko needs to play more, can’t happen with markstrum here . Trade him! Stecher has little value, not worth the 3rd pairing. We need cap soace to sign our stars. Trade him.
  11. I have never been a Tanev fan. The guy plays maybe 50 games a season. Stecher is a Hutton. Hutton was top pair last season. This season barley made the kings. Tanev will get injured! Tanev should not be resigned by the canucks. Tanev might fetch us a second round pick. Do it!!! He will either sign with us and be protected by expansion or he doesn’t sign and we lose him for nothing. Trade now!
  12. He is a plug in my eyes, hopefully sell him as a legit d man. Either way we shouldn’t resign him. We can fit another d man in for less.
  13. Homer glasses off and the vision is clear. We can try for playoffs this season, but if we stay put for one more season, manage our assets and not have our blinders on we can get some mire future pieces and free up space to sign people that matter.
  14. Tanev plays 50 games a season, far from deserved. Stecher is a 3rd pairing plug . Hopefully get a 3rd rounder for him.
  15. No Not to mention Demko is our future. We do not need to stall it like we did Schneider and waste solid years as him back up. Trade markstrum or Demko I choose markstrum.
  16. No panic, just logic. Get assets to valuable assets instead of losing for bothinv and handcuffing our team
  17. Hahaha how much you think markstrum will want? 5 mill 4 season? All three players will want raise. Sorry bro.
  18. We can get good pieces for markstrum and tanev. We can’t resign them. Also markstrum or Demko would need to be held for expansion draft
  19. Lou recapture two more seasons. What contracts come off the books. Pettersson will be 8+ easily and Hughes hopefully will be 8+ aswell. Cautiously let’s say Pettersson 7 and Hughes 5 which is way underestimated. Where do we come up with 11million dollars in space, not to mention season after Boeser will need to be signed, Horvat following.
  20. We don’t have cap space, Pettersson and Hughes will need contracts in two seasons. We need to get assets for lost assets
  21. Canucks are a good team but let’s not kid ourselves we are a fringe playoff team. We still have this year to rebuild. We have pieces in place to be a very good team but a couple things NEED to be done! Trade tanev(contract expiring can’t resign) trade markstrum (contract expires can’t resign) trade Stecher (contract expires can’t resign) we must do this even though it will make us not a playoff team this year. We can free up cap space and gets some young talent and picks. Get a nice lottery pick or high pick and aim high next season
  22. Refs put whistle away against Canucks last couple of games... such a shame how inconsistent nhl refs are. It’s like they dictate the game and are involved in game management...
  23. I miss big hits in today’s nhl. Just none really. Players afraid to dish one out. Maybe it’s just the Canucks
  24. Not sure what Tanev was doing on that ok when he blocked the shot. Why would he stay out so injured he can do anything even if the puck were to drop in front of him. Skate off and let someone replace you. We have been dominated since that shift/goal
