These are some things I’d like to see the Canucks try if Miller gets traded.
I wonder if the Canucks would consider moving Podkolzin to Centre. I can envision Podkolzin being a very effective Horvat type strong 2 way centre if given the opertunity. Podkolzin is good at faceoffs and has great vision. The Canucks aren’t shy about asking players to try new things and new positions. EP40 was a Right winger but has learned the trade of being a centre. His faceoffs have improved from last year. I wonder if Podkolzin would be open to try it. It would be fun to see a Kuzmenko - Podkolzin - Mikheyev line.
Another thing is Hughes, would he be open to play on the right side? Boudreau isn’t adverse to giving players different roles. He put EP40 and Hughes on the PK, why not try Hughes on the right side. I think it could work because he’s talented and thinks the game well enough. His IQ is very high, I have no doubt he’d excel. But do the Canucks have the bravery to try it.
if we could make these changes it would solve a lot of the Canucks problems.
Mikheyev - EP40 - Boeser
Hoglander - Podkolzin - Kuzmenko
Pearson - Horvat - Garland
Dickinson - Lazar - Joshua
OEL - Hughes
Rathbone - Myers
Dermott - Poolman
Schenn
Miller must be in the press box...

Here's a great comparable signing today as well.
I think Mikheyev has a higher ceiling. 4 inches taller & faster as well.

Yeo seems like a fundamental structure guy that lacks leadership and people skills, he’s probably a great assistant but you never want things to go bad enough to promote him to head coach.
iMo I would take TG as head coach over Mike Yeo. Even though Yeo has a much higher career winning % than TG. ( which is sad )
All I remember was if we didn't resign TG he would be snagged up immediately & that not signing him would not be good for us.
A few months later he is fired & we are one of the better teams in the league instantly & he doesn't seem to be on anyone's coach, assistant coach or even AHL teams interest...lol.
Bruce or many others > TG all day & every day.

Because I think it's garbage that some are making him out to be a joke and $&!#ting on him for coming in and trying his best in a bad situation. Ain't his fault all the other goaltenders went down or that his development has kind of gone off the track a bit these last couple seasons.
He's 22 and 6 feet, we've no idea what he'll be. Is it likely he makes it? For most players it ain't likely at all, but let's not pretend to know.
You tell em Mrs. Dipietro.
