What about Halak to Edmonton for a top 9 forward. I feel like Jesse Puljujarvi or Yamamoto would be a nice addition to top three lines.

So basically with no weight on the players shoulders....probably wondering daily for two months when their coach is getting fired they play loose and win a game they should win in the way I would expect them to play.
This isn’t shocking it’s what I expected all year. Not 1/4 into the season.

My Canucks Christmas wish list.
1. Starting tonight we go on a “MoneyBall” Oakland Athletics league record winning streak to get back into the playoff hunt by New Years.
2.We hire Marc Bergevin as our new GM. This guy is a rockstar and he brings Tyler Toffoli with him as a stocking stuffer.
3. Brock, Bo, Petey Get their head straight and start lighting it up.
4.We bring in a leader to the back end of the ice who can get our Defence back front the dead to be playing at a respectable level. Hughes needs someone to play with that elevates his game back to where it belongs.

The topic is a little silly. For fans of the Canucks we never speak about giving up on our team ever. It’s a part of being a Canucks fan hopefully before I die I get to see a cup but regardless I’ll always be a Canucks fan. Ive stopped watching games until I see changes have been made but I’m a Canucks fan through and through.....past the failed cup runs and injuries at the worst time or when my FavouriteCanucks player of all time decided to go mob boss and knock out a player at the wrong time wrong moment. Those are the bad times you deal with.
now that’s out of the way.
This team sucks this year plain and simple. No chemistry. No balance. Leadership on the team is in need of a reminder from ownership that when you wear a letter on your jersey you are also responsible to prevent melt downs like this from happening by leading the team out of their own heads on and off the ice.
Green won’t make it out of the year. My guess is he’s turfed around or just after the holidays, high probability its after he gets off this road trip. He’s probably wanting/waiting for it at this point. It’s getting uglier every game and he doesn’t have answers anymore to solve the leadership problem on the ice he’s just as frustrated and a new job/new team will be a healthy option for both parties less costly.
The real issue with the team composition this year from my view is our Defence group is not good enough to be NHL caliber and the chemistry of the pairings doesn’t even matter. We need a few more top four Dman other than Hughes I’m not sure we have a second who fits that bill. We have A defence group that’s third line quality all day. You can’t run a team with all third line players. -

Still Green is just a guy who’s lost his team. I bet he’s a good guy away from the game. At least he’s not verbally assaulting players or covering up sexual assaults. No that is a different level of garbage.

I don’t even need to read anything on this forum to know it’s not positive chatter. For once I agree change is now needed. This team is supposed to be progressing and last two seasons now going the wrong way. Chemistry is missing. Coaching is stagnant.

When was the last time a Canucks team gave up 14 goals in two games?. Gross.

The only positive to having him out makes Green play some different combinations and our use of him on the PP was way too predictable. Hopefully the boosted ice time for other players who needed to get going on offfence has helped. Getting him back is no doubt a positive and maybe fired up some other cylinders to get the whole engine going.
