Well I sure hope those get Omi will still have some kind of immunity from this one:

    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/companies/cyprus-reportedly-discovers-a-covid-variant-that-combines-omicron-and-delta/ar-AASzBrl?ocid=msedgntp

    • A researcher in Cyprus has discovered a strain of the coronavirus that combines the delta and omicron variant, Bloomberg News reported Saturday.
    • Leondios Kostrikis, professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus, called the strain "deltacron."
    • It's still too early to tell whether there are more cases of the strain or what impacts it could have.

A researcher in Cyprus has discovered a strain of the coronavirus that combines the delta and omicron variant, Bloomberg News reported on Saturday.

Leondios Kostrikis, professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus, called the strain "deltacron," because of its omicron-like genetic signatures within the delta genomes, Bloomberg said.

So far, Kostrikis and his team have found 25 cases of the virus, according to the report. It's still too early to tell whether there are more cases of the strain or what impacts it could have.

"We will see in the future if this strain is more pathological or more contagious or if it will prevail" against the two dominant strains, delta and omicron, Kostrikis said in an interview with Sigma TV Friday. He believes omicron will also overtake deltacron, he added.

The researchers sent their findings this week to GISAID, an international database that tracks viruses, according to Bloomberg.

The deltacron variant comes as omicron continues its rapid spread across the globe, causing a surge in Covid-19 cases. The U.S. is reporting a seven-day average of more than 600,000 new cases daily, according to a CNBC analysis Friday of data from Johns Hopkins University. That's a 72% increase from the previous week and a pandemic record.

    Flurona, Deltacron, IHU, etc...

    Just stop already.

He literally said in a previous post that ppl who are unvaccinated shouldn't receive medical care and im the propagandist? Sure thing.

That people think that way is insane. They paid into the medical system their entire lives. Now, they won't take a liquid that hasn't gone through the rigorous twting of every other vaccine ever and they want to ban them from receiving life saving care.

Hey, you do you. Fill your boots. All I hope is that you didn't spread the virus to someone else.

The number of appointments for the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has risen sharply this week in Quebec, according to Health Minister Christian Dubé.

In a brief message posted to social media Friday morning, Dubé notes that in the last few days, appointments for first doses have increased from 1,500 per day to more than 6,000.

No one is forcing you to get your vaccine, yet...

Mandatory sterilization, it's for climate change

Mandatory organ donor, it's for the good of your fellow man.

Mandatory blood donations, its for the good of your fellow man.

Why aren't you doing everything for the good of your planet and your fellow man.

Bonnie says students with Covid positive family members at home can still come to school and can also come to school with “mild symptoms” themselves if they wear a mask. What is going on here.

    Is that true?

NEW - British Columbia no longer providing individual case information to families about COVID cases. Schools will instead report out attendance if it drops below 'typical rates'. #bcpoli

A pretty sweet bomb to drop 3 days before schools open.

They will be closing again very soon.

Again we are talking about the frail elderly.  This isn't grandpa who needs help with cooking and cleaning, this is grandma who wanders down the street naked in winter.

Very frequently they would not have the faculties to understand a waiver and the family may be ill equipped to handle them.  Obviously this is a broad generalization and I do think that we need to find better ways here, but this is not something being done out of cruelty to healthy elderly that just need someone to unlock the door.

Cry more.  Grow up.  Start discussing things like an adult and stop running away from the ridiculous lies you keep spewing.

    Seems easy enough right?

Cry more? No tears were shed.

You still didn't name one other poster in these 40,000+ posts that you agree with.

It's your echo chamber and you don't want anyone else in here who doesn't agree with you.

I can see why I bother you. Early on, I was just like you. The vaccines were going to end this. We can get back to normal. Got vaccinated, things looked like it was working. The Unvaccinated weren't at the hockey games I was at, or the restaurants.

Then boom. We were infected, infecting others. Getting it and spreading.  Close it all down and we are back to almost day 1.

Now, many don't point fingers at the unvaccinated. The government and the few in here are still trying. Other Canadian provinces are bringing them back to work.

We were sold something that didn't deliver on the promise, taught to hate our fellow man and I like you disliked them immensely.

We aren't there any more. There are many apologies on Twitter and Facebook from friends and family who segregated and belittled their friends and family.

Kind of like what you try to do people in your echo chamber here. All I am hurting is your little bubble here. Ignore me or mute me if it makes you feel better.

There's any number of people with great and opposing views to mandates, lockdowns, worries about efficacy of vaccines. @gizmo2337 is one of the best and more recent so it's easy to single them out.  especially when the last few dozen pages are full of...well.

We LOVE opposing views.  I find @gizmo2337 to be educated articulated and credible in his statements.

    But you....yikes

Then ignore me or move on. I am not here to satisfy you.

    A victim? An attention seeker?

I mean, this seems like exactly the right place for both of those. When do the cheques come?

You don't love opposing views, you named 1 person in 2,000 pages.

I'm not trying to be dividing. It's pretty clear to me N95 masks are a simple policy, and I was hoping others get that. We make the N95 fibers here in BC, so there isn't much excuse. Some people still believe their cloth masks are ok as advocated by BCCDC. The cloth masks aren't very good for omicron because it just goes right through the mask both ways.
The right thing to do is give the health care workers and educators N95 masks, increase ventilation.

Problem with the n95s are they are expensive, hard to find and the moment you grab it or throw it in your car its no longer functioning as it should. In the hospitals and high risk places 100%

However I think you are a cold-hearted person when discussing the death of anyone let alone children in this manner.

How would you feel if it happened to your kids ?

Or someone you love kids if you don't have any ?

Would you be questioning if they died from Covid or died with Covid ?

I don't know what you mean, but sure, I'll leave. I was trying to help provide good information with quality sources from the best experts I've read. Some links are actual real scientific papers that some might be interested in. Not all of twitter is BS. There is some good doctors, PHD's and aerosol transmission experts. There's some bad info sources as well, and I didn't provide any of those. There is no middle I'm playing here. I feel for the healthcare workers and educators. The science papers endlessly supports better masks and ventilation, end of story. Do you work in the hospital, school or have kids in school?

You don't have to leave. Don't let them bully you out. You have as much of a right to express your thoughts and opinions here as anyone. Just like science, it's always good to have differing views.

    Think cloth masks and N95.

I get that there is a group in here that doesn't want their echo chamber entered into. Reading this thread makes that evident.

However, if there isn't a dissenting opinion covid thread somewhere else on here, I will express my opinions freely in here.

Even if that’s so it’s regular old Ivermectin that @Gatzkek is arguing for. Seems like common sense that Merck or your other 3 manufacturers would be trying to move as much product as possible in the meantime.

@karvalegov If Ivermectin could be purchased for .01 per dose no publicly traded company would manufacture it.

It can be made by anyone. The one I showed had only the 4 US makers, there are many more in many countries.

I think they will provide it as therapeutics in a pill format.
