Dug around and found this pic from a Pharmasave calendar(?) I have a white skate that I was gonna get customized w/ #10 and the anniversary patch anyway so I might just get 'em to toss the A on there too, kinda liking the look!

Yeah, I'm definitely buying the injury angle! Not gonna lie, seeing an A on Bure's skate jersey without a #96 kinda threw me for a bit at first, they really do go hand in hand.

That would 100% explain it!

He certainly didn't I've been doing more searching but I'm starting to think the skate jersey with #10 and the A might've only been for that one playoff series because I can't find any other instances of him wearing it. IIRC for the majority of that season (and when they got swept against Chicago next round) it looks like the A was off and when he got the A full-time next season he'd also made the switch to #96. Strange!

This is bugging me so I figured I'd ask the experts! I was going down a rabbit hole of watching old playoff highlights on YT and saw that in game 3 against the Blues in 1995, Bure was rocking a white skate jersey with his #10, the A and a 25th anniversary patch; does anyone know offhand if he did this at any other time during that season? Seems like a pretty rare combo!
