just a comparison. domi is an enigmatic player, horvat is a born leaderWhy the sudden interest in Domi in this thread about Horvat? Yeah they play on the same team but I couldn't care less about Domi.
-
yes.Just context for everyone, I believe this post was still in reference to Domi, correct?
-
hahaha. that's good
i'm not saying i don't like him either, its just that he does have some character issues. the thing that worries me is that if he gets too confident, his development will slide
-
Domi is exactly what you'd expect the son of Tie Domi to be.I've never heard anyone compare Domi to Toews. In fact, if you go to the Knights' forum at HFBoards, the fan comments indicate they think he's a dirty player. He's also described as being a "selfish" player. Neither of those descriptions fit the Toews comparison. Overall, most fans rave about Horvat, but don't have much good to say about Domi.
-
Best way to describe Bo is he uses his body like David Backes, but he plays like a Jonathan Toews or maybe Bergeron. But i honestly think he's just a different type of player. I saw him at practice last week and man.. his skating has improved drastically.

they were getting pretty mouthy in the box, but then again Domi was laughing when he went back to the box in the next periodI agree, Domi was a non factor and made himself look pretty immature, especially for his misconduct. Typical Domi. After the whistle goes, Domi uses his "toughness". He goes over to cross check Bignell in his lower back and targets where there is no padding. Then he mugs him from behind and tackles him and the linesman to the ice. Starts throwing some gloved shots at Bignell's body.
Subban and Domi are very good friends off the ice. At the draft when Jordan was still waiting to be selected, Domi noticed he still didn't go yet and was waiting a long time, so he took off his PHX jersey and sat with Subban until he was chosen. Said he didn't want Jordan to sit alone and wanted to support his friend. So i found the scrum a bit odd. Could just be on-ice competitiveness, rather than bad blood between them.

spotted a few horvat canucks jerseys in the crowf

domi was a non factor. him and subban had some bad blood i guess. someone was saying that gaunce might be traded around xmas, maybe to sudbury

great game so far. 2 great assists, beautiful passes and a goal. he helped open a 5 goal second.
subban has stood out more than gaunce, but gaunce doesnt have a team to work with
-
yeah, marselis played some preseason games here then they sent him to saginaw. he wasn't that greatYou're right. They traded Marselis Subban. Apparently I need to pay more attention when dealing with Subbans. Apologies! A

and subban! they gotta go all in for the mem. cupHorvat, Gaunce facing up on Friday October 11.
Really hope Gaunce gets traded to London at Christmas. Belleville isn't going anywhere this year. Would be nice to see a WHJC Gold medal and Memorial Cup for both Horvat and Gaunce at the same time ))
i'll be at that game friday, pretty pumped for it

Those guys won't be high picks. The knock on Marner will be his size, and Dvorak projects as a second rounder.. might be late 1st. I do like the team this year, though. Josh Andersson has stepped up. I like Mermis for a potential steal in the nhl draft.Just watched the highlights from last nights game. His first goal was a nasty poke in, but he kept on it for 4 or 5 wacks. The second goal, he managed to get open and the side of the net and pop it in on the rush. His assist looks like a blast from the point, picked up by somebody in front.
I have to say, the Knights are absolutely stacked this year! Horvat, Domi, Zadorov with likely high picks in Tait Seguin, Marner and Dvorak.

Bo gets 1st star tonight. announcers are saying that he should get the C soon
-
bo gets an assist on a nice back hand by josh anderson. i have a feeling hes not done
-
i missed the second goal, but just saw a highlight. soft handshe's been credited with both London goals. This is gonna be one productive year for him.
-
goal and assist early to open the game. looking even better in both zones. controlling the pace. bo has definitely kicked it up a notch over the summer
-
Ho-Sang has cleaned up his act from what i've heard. They are pretty young
-
side note. i'd really like to see us have a shot at drafting Ho-Sang. matt rupert played pretty undisciplined last night.. i'm surprised he didn't get benched
-
that's the one i was talking about. great vision and awareness. can't teach that stuff
-
sweet. Bo basically cut through 3 guys and that left matt rupert wide open for the pass.
-
I wish i could find a highlight of the goal bo set up for matt rupert yesterday. you guys gotta see it, it shows why we picked him. plays like that just show that he makes players around him better

i know plenty about olli maata, he volunteered at a school i was at many times. great guy, but him and horvat would both be equally good fitsI'm guessing you don't know much about Olli Maatta. Just because he's European doesn't mean he cannot lead and that Bo is the outright leader of this team. And also take into consideration that London usually picks a defenseman as a captain - Harrington and before that Tinordi.
Bo hasn't been named captain yet. I personally think it is Maatta's to lose.
-
Great penalty killing tonight. Liberati also scored a goal
-
I'm not too sure about that. Everybody around here knows that Bo has taken over as the true leader of the team.London has yet to name their captain.
In the next few days, if Bo isn't named captain, expect Olli Maatta to get it if he returns from Pittsburgh. If Pittsburgh chooses to keep Maatta, I don't see anyone else on the London roster that deserve the "C" more than Bo.
I think the "C" is contingent on Maatta making the Penguins or not.
