  1. What a fight display by Pacquiao against a really tough fighter in Bradley and coming away with a unanimous decision involving two knockdowns for the Pac-man showing him to be back to possibly his best in years.Although he claims it was his last fight, his trainer would like him to take on Canelo and then a rematch with Mayweather.I guess we will see.

Lol read that this morning, what an idiot.

I'm sure he dosen't need the Nike sponsorship money, but no matter how many laws are passed or acceptance's made as we move into more of openminded world, you will never change a person's opinion's.And for the record he is entitled to those, without any reasons or explanations.

McGregor vs Dos Anjos booked for march 5th! Wow gotta hand it to Conor he's got some major stones . Finally a UFC champ willing to fight every couple of months. Bad matchup for him, but I think he pulls it off as Dos Anjos can be overly aggressive and walk right into a straight left . Cant wait for this one!

Unfortunately Dos Anjos has sufferered a broken foot in training,Nate Diaz is the new opponent.

  4. LAWLER VS CONDIT

Well just finished watching one of the most action packed fights,Condit vs Lawler, unfortunately the judges were obviously watching something other than the fight in the ring.Tonight Condit should be wearing the belt as the new champion. He was at least 2 rounds ahead going into the final round,on my books anyway.

  5. I actually feel sorry for Booth. However he never understood the "team" part of the game. Until this last season I always thought he played like he was the only Canuck on the ice.

No player can legislate for serious injuries and he had a few. He was being paid far too much for his skill set imo. He was never more than 3rd line material and for that he was overpaid.

I think he was a bad deal for us and we could have done better at $2.5-3M

Good luck to David in the future I hope he proves me wrong with another team.

You seem to have got players mixed up .You're actually describing Kesler, at least in your 1st line.

  6. Kinda liked the guy, but never seemed to fit in. He was brought in as Kesler's buddy, but didn't really seem to ever click with Kesler. Even if he did, Kesler is out the door anyhow.

As with everyone else Kesler played with,it was Kesler that never clicked with anyone !

  7. Sedin - Sedin - _____

    Burrows - Kesler - Kassian

    Higgins - Horvat - Jensen

    Matthias - Richardson - Hansen/Santorelli

Unfortunately your 2 top line players are the very one's that sucked last year..lol !Let's hope to God you're wrong and their will be several new faces on the top 2 lines,or we're in for another bad season.Let us also hope Tort's description of the core does NOT go unheeded.

  8. I am well aware of the tougher division, injuries, slumps etc.....Only the fact remains that there is nothing with this coaching staff to hang your hat on ...I can take losing,if the team is trying (The Flames are a team that loses but fans can appreciate the effort)...but with JT,there is only indifference..as you can tell from the 50 yard stares the Canuck players have on the bench...Even the guy that endorsed him (Gillis) did a 360 as far as JTs coaching style..he paid the ultimate price.

I would like to start next season with a new GM and coach >"",with none of the previous residue gong show left over""< ,that was this season.

The residue gong show will bring the next coach down(assuming Torts is fired,)unless they too are traded before next season.

  9. You don't fire a guy after 1 year. That's the type of decision an impatient 5 year old on ADD makes. What is the common denominator the last 4 years of the decline? It's the players! It's so blatantly obvious that we need new personnel, whether that be through a rebuild or via trade is another question entirely

All the top 6 players should be considered for moving, long before looking at Torts.Kesler had probably his best seasin in several years, but on the face of it, he was the best of a really bad bunch. Now that our 2 top Goalie's are gone, this core has really been brought to the forefront, for how poor it really is.

  10. I think they have no choice but to go after the top free agents and hope to land one to get the fans excited about the season again (Vanek Moulson or Callahan).. everyone is choked right now, but once we upgrade the team in the off-season, seats will be full almost every game once again.. Without a big signing its gonna be a hard sell for the owners

OR the site will be full of the same garbage, as the past three seasons, that Kesler will return to "Beast Mode".......lol!

  11. Jensen continues to impress me.

... And so does Shawn Matthias. Hansen has been a no-show basically all year so a HIG-MAT-SAN (if we sign Santorelli) would be one of the best 3rd lines in the league. These 3 guys are all hustle!

At least I hope this is who Matthias really is.

So what exactly is Jensen right... now?

Hopefully after Kes is traded it's the Canucks 2nd line and if he isn't it can still be out 2nd line.

  12. There is a less demeaning way for the team to lose. The question should not be about standing by Lack, he stunk up the building. He should have been saved if only to keep his spirit up. Losing is not bad, its a great learning experience. The powers that be, are killing trade values and or deflating a players that could haunt us for many years.

BTW, getting high draft picks does not guarantee we build a winner. People that think losing is they way to go need to think about that.

So they left Lack in,it's a learning curve. How many times did AV leave Lou in when he was being shelled even though we had Cory on the bench.

  13. Until Lack lets in 7-8 goals in must win playoff games I will still stand by him. This game meant about as much as an exhibition game. We were never making the playoffs anyway so if you're gonna blame Lack, then he actually did us a favour by helping us get a higher pick.

Not wanting to sound repetitive, but goaltending has been the least of the Canucks problems for several seasons.

The Canucks core players are well beyond their due date, this includes Kesler.Although in fairness he does look good on such a lacklustre team.(no pun intended).

  14. It blows my mind that people are complaining about the return when his contract was extremely difficult to trade and half of CDC wanted us to buy him out...

Let's just hope this isn't the only trade we make, one we didn't need to make, there were no problems in the Goaltender area.In case it's slipped anyones mind Goalscoring is our main problem.Good luck to Lou at Florida.
