If no waiver claims have been made (I am looking at your Sharpy), then the Ottawa Senators would like to buyout the final year of Ryan Getzlaf’s contract. Ryan has been an absolute warrior for the Sens for many seasons. We wish him all the best moving forward and we don’t look forward to seeing him in an oppositions jersey.

From my understanding the Buyout Window is “open indefinitely, until further notice”. I do understand that the CBA says that this window closes Sept 30th but it looked like the Dates to Remember were updated most recently. @canuck2xtreme Can you confirm if the regular buyout window is indeed still open?

I think we need to discuss the process for offer sheets. I appreciate @Ty Webb messaging me on here and Discord to flag this offer sheet for Miro but if the contract is going to get vetoed if it doesn’t align with the players ask, then maybe the negotiations should be had with the agent that is already working with the player? Both players I have had offer sheeted this summer signed for significantly less then they were asking in my negotiations so they both were easy decisions to accept. Offer sheets are an exciting part of this league but so far this summer they have been pretty messy. If the league needs to sign off on each one then maybe they should all go through C2X.

Wow this is a tough one to come back and find. I typically take a step back from my two leagues in August and this month has been especially hectic. I appreciate @Mike Vanderhoek messaging me on Facebook to notify me of this offer sheet. I am surprised I wasn’t tagged in this post, especially when Romo was tagged in the offer sheet for his player shortly after? I thought that was standard practice. A few days before Whitecloud asked for a lot more money then this offer sheet and there was not mention of a potential offer sheet looming. In the end I did miss the 7 days but I would have 100% matched this as it would have saved me cap in my negoations. I will wait to hear how @canuck2xtreme would like to proceed with this.
