This team need Bedard. It needs him bad.
You just know the guy will go through titanium walls for this team.
For what? So he can get westcoast syndrome too?

Right now it’s a piece of shit team play. Piece of shit PP. Piece of shit Defending. Piece of shit effort.
But, don’t be a piece of shit fan for losing your faith after 3 games.
The team needs to trade for Defence. That’s a known.
Until that.
Keep your support going.
Our collective support is what binds us together. It keeps us as ‘us’.
‘Keep it together’ boys and girls.
I’ve been waiting since 1970. How much longer can I keep it together? I probably don’t have that much time left.

Some tenders thrive on it, Luongo did, Demko doesn't seem to be one of em
No cup was won with Luongo either. He flayed around on his back on crucial times and let so many easy save past. Turtle.

Priority #1 this summer for Allvin, get rid of Myers.
Agent of pure chaos, the way he plays is not condusive to team success. Makes simple plays hard asf, screens his own goalie, total disregard for defensive hockey, and cannot seem to stay discipline in playing a team game.
Get rid of him. Bring in someone who is competent at playing their actual position.
Been telling my friend this for ages.
like a lump of coal out there. Can’t see who he passes to, screens his goalie and skates like he’s lost.
Posted it a few games ago too.
Lose Dickenson, Meyers and Boeser -

Ya, Dickinson was awful. I don’t get how someone who is 6’2” and doesn’t hit. Pettersson who is the same height and weighs way less hits way more. You can’t float around at that height and weight. It makes no sense why he doesn’t play physical. He needs to go. A waste of money.
Do Canucks have a Dickenson playing for them?
Seriously he needs to be gone along with Meyers.
-
Really thought it’s was in the bag 1st period. Soon as Halak went out I figured, crap now they lose. Just a feeling.
Still a fairly exciting game with speed though.
Sore point is, Does Meyers ever look at who he’s passing to??? It’s like dum dee dum, I’ll just send the puck here then stand around like a sloth.
Lucky they never got a penalty in OT on that trip. Might not have had to sit through that crap shootout. -

Yah just focus on that. 5 assists. 91 points. I have seen Swyl, Linden, Bure, Sedins make multiple mistakes over the years and still make this team succeed. Miller has become a star, why do so many people talk about trading this guy?
I’m totally on board with Miller. It was just an observation and a mistake that you know they wish they had back. It could have been anyone and I’d have said the same thing.

Damn. That was a shutout for Demko if Miller never skated that puck back into his own zone and lost it. Oh well made up for it in points.

Define woke and I mean define it in detail, not just saying woke uhhh
How the city has taken to protesting everything.
How they take every thing they read on social media to new levels of social injustice.
The nimby-ism.
The give everyone a ribbon mentality.
All these attitudes eventually trickle around and make people nonchalant.
Even though ruined by drunks and losers, all the good things that happened here in years past made the crowd more gung-ho, which in turn spiked team players with that rah rah attitude.
You may not catch my drift, but that’s how I feel. -

Woke? Really?
Long before that was a word, we had Seafest, Sandcastle Competitions, Regatta. It was drunken morons that cancelled those. If there's a reason Vancouver is no fun, it's because we can't behave ourselves. We can't even lose a Stanley Cup without some morons smashing windows and causing damage.
You said exactly what I meant about it being a no fun place now. Too many people ruined all the good events we had through the lower mainland and now I feel that no matter what sport or event happens there is just a lackadaisical attitude.
I give Canucks fans credit for filling the stands and supporting ownership with all the merch sales, game in game out even though they lose so much. How many other arenas would withstand that for so many years.- 1

So why is it that we’re such a better team on the road?
Do the players get nervous playing in front of their fans?
Does Bruce try to line match too much at home?
Do they not like the colour blue? Home cooking sucks?
Like there’s gotta be a reason for it.
Westcoast syndrome. I think Vancouver’s woke, no fun, no everything attitude aerosolizes and spreads an infectious mood to all teams that we have. When the city was fun at least the BC Lions even won a couple of cups.

Halak was solid all night long. There was a big turning point where it looked like Ritchie scored and Halak made a mess of it but that was absolute brilliant coaching by Bruce, not only to challenge but to call a timeout. Doesn't get enough credit but that could have been the game right there. After that the team and Halak really settled down.
If not for the challenge I thought it was going to be the turn around for AZ. Halak’s expression showed so much disappointment too.

Oilers/Flames/Leafs all lose in the first round.
It’s too bad because even who that are it’d be nice to see a Canadian team bring a cup back here. Bettman won’t like that.

They played for full 6 minutes... give or take a 0.
I’ll say they came out and played 10 good minutes at the start. Kept St.Louis off the puck, but really that was it. Demko was making those killer saves at the start too and then fell apart. EP40 had a not so bad game save for that last give away.

Fans WERE. responsible.
Maybe to start, but it looked like there was a bunch of pro rioters that came just for it. The bandana wearing ones and those who started tipping cop cars. Whatever it was a blight for the city and the hockey world all saw it.

Serious question here …
Did HNIC completely drop the storyline on our victory tonight?
I’ve been watching since games and it went straight to Ottawa game and then to Calgary game. No replays, discussion or analysis of Van. game at all.
Are they really that biased?I’ve always had this opinion that since Van lost to Bruins and the riot started, the news made it look so much like Canucks fans were responsible. After that Bettman, refs and certain media seems to abandon Vancouver and change the outlook.
Dunno it’s just how I feel.
That and Eastern Canada will always dote on Toronto or any eastern team. -

I’ve seen some stupid things In this forum but this has gotta be up there
He’s not bad sometimes, but he is so easily checked or knocked around. He needs speed and more practice keeping the puck skating in. Also he needs to stop hesitating and shoot more. His one timers used to be real good; but now he waits too long.

Worst officiated game of the season AINEC.
F***ing infuriating. Hughes hauled down clear as day no call. Pettersson hooked down & Player Name Ek scores. Horvat slashed in the face, responds, & we get the penalty. Demko hacked countless times & nothing (and you can't do anything or they call retaliation, as we saw)
So frustrating. And of course Dallas get outshot like 50-15 & wins. The hockey gods just hate us.
F*** Minnesota.
That irritates me to no end how they kept their sticks in on Demko.
The officiating is reminiscent of when Burrows seemed to always have the refs calling anything they choose on Canucks.

Heartbreaker. We were Miller post away from winning a tough back to back. 3/4 pts ain’t that bad though. Miller, Bo with the goals. Demko was brilliant for the most part. Big test ahead against Dallas which is a must win considering we are chasing them for a playoff spot. Let’s go get it next time around! GCG!
Demko let 3 in. 2 he should have had easy. Halak should have played again. Who knows
-
Never gonna win when you play in your own zone 80% of a game.
Buffalo was faster and had better sticks for so many checks and stealing giveaways. -

Tbh I think it's probably interesting for him - he's going to get to weigh in on how to rebuild this deeply flawed roster.
Probably. I’m not in his head, but then that means years and years more waiting for a good team.

Bruce sometimes must wonder wtf he got himself into.
There was a few good tries in this game, but wow when they suck they suck.
New way to get a power play. Lift the guys stick up and hit yourself in the face.- 1

Demko 6.0 GAA and Halak 3.0 GAA that game. So shut up already about our goal tending. The issue with the Canucks has been the same the past 11 years - lack of scoring.
Lack of defence too.

Been saying that for a couple years now. Last year he stood and watched Hughes get pummelled and side squat.
