  1. Attitude problems can be a good or a bad thing. Every top skilled player needs a bit of spunk. Teams will have an idea when they interview him.
  2. Even before injuries. Many people who've watched Virtanen play, says he shouldn't be in the top 10 and he's going to bust.
  3. Its okay. Absent Canuck just ko-ed everyone by posting in this thread. Everyone has gotten confused, and don't even know what to say. How is the hell does projecting the NHL draft order, have to do with anything? Rankings are based on who the scouts think, will be a better player. It's not a damn mock draft. What Absent Canuck says defies logic. Complete mindblow. There's no reason for anyone to continue. Good Game.
  4. If anyone wants to ask Pronman a question, he usually comes on hfboard to answer questions: He answered a few on this thread - http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1672177
  5. This is incorrect. I've said several about the prospects. The problem here is that people are simpleminded. People are scared of posting opinions, and people only listen to what other people say, without doing the work themselves. This is why, people get so defensive when a different perspective is shown. This is why, even the top guys are criticized, by nobodies on hockey forums. People believe what they want to believe, and think they are always right. This is exactly whats wrong with discussing sports. 9/10 people have no opinions and only say what they read. This is why, it's so easy to make a thread about drafting, say Virtanen, or a Kyle Beach, and have everyone jump on board. It's sad, but it happens time and time again.
  6. This is disappointing. If your going to start with an insult, i expect you to post with a rational post. This is just embarrassing. Points to Consider - Ritchie is dominated junior cause of size and strength. Under those circumstances, you can't get injured against kids if you are going to play that style against men. The other points, aside from the Perlini, which i'll let you think whatever you want. Nylander and Virtanen, are nonsense. Nylander trying to deke out 3 people on a 5 on 3 in the U-18, and do you really want to be literal with Virtanen? Stay in context kid. No reason for me to respond to your next post if it stays the same.
  7. You're right. Reading is the key. He said, that Nylander doesn't have those holes in his game. Suddenly, you ended up siding with what i said, and arguing with what theminister said. the irony...
  8. Again. No one cares about their draft position. People care about who will be a better player.
  9. However, ISS has a better track record. No one cares about, where they go in the draft. It's all about, who will be better. That's why ISS is on everything. That's why, your point is meaningless.
  10. Size is meaningless when comparing the two. Ehler may be the fastest player in the draft, but that could also explain why he's dominated juniors. Much like, how Ritchie is dominates the junior by his physicality. Fabbri has more dimensions to his game, than Ehler at the moment. This is why, you pick the player who is more likely to translate better to the NHL. Not, how they are posting points against kids. BTW - Statistic wise, Ehler is playing in a more offensive/weaker league with the QMJHL. The stats are closer than it looks. I guess it kind of works both ways, if Ehler had played in the OHL, and put up the same numbers he has, he'd be ranked higher. League rank is OHL>WHL>QMJHL
  11. Why does this even matter? No one can perfectly predict the outcome of a NHL draft. Everyone has different ratings. Many teams don't allow Scouts to talk to each other, because if they all knew the same things, they'd all have the same rankings. http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=9420 There's a link of 4 more opinions of last years final ranking, and no one is close to having the same ranking as the actual draft. If someone could, then whats the point of the draft? Why not just auto it? I thought this was common sense.
  12. It's funny how Nylander is brought down cause of his father but Kapenen is given a thumbs up cause of his father.
  13. ISS actually has Fabbri ahead of Ehler in their final ranking.
  14. I don't care who the Canuck picks, but if somehow Michael Dal Colle falls to 6th. I think, that'll probably be the best possible scenario at the draft for the canucks. everyone else, i'm really meh about
  15. Actually, his 30 is on this site: http://www.mynhldraft.com/2014-nhl-draft-prospect-rankings/
  16. Here's his top 10. 1 Aaron Ekblad D Barrie OHL 2 Sam Bennett C Kingston OHL 3 William Nylander RW Modo SHL 4 Sam Reinhart C Kootenay WHL 5 Nikolaj Ehlers LW Halifax QMJHL 6 Kevin Fiala LW HV71 SHL 7 Leon Draisaitl C Prince Albert WHL 8 Michael Dal Colle LW Oshawa OHL 9 Kasperi Kapanen RW KalPa Liiga 10 Haydn Fleury D Red Deer WHL He sometimes, shows up on hfboard to answer questions. so, if anyone wants to ask him anything, maybe you go to pronman thread.
  17. Nice contradiction. Hey, you don't have to listen to me. Your the one getting all defensive. Why is the most skilled player, not the consensus top overall over B type prospects? Twice already in our discussion, you have decided to harass me because of your lack of knowledge, and both times you've had to change the topic because of it. That's not a proper way to talk hockey. If you don't agree that he tends to hold the puck for too long, then we are finished. You truly, never watched him play, if you argue with that.
  18. Well, jeez. you know, he was playing in the U-18 right? that just concluded last week right? he has the most skill in anyone in this years draft. Nothing has changed. Holds the puck too long as usually, and has a body of a kid. Even though, it's not a big deal if he doesn't have character issues. Not saying i know he has character issues, who knows. I don't know him personally. He plays lazy and selfish though. There has to be a reason why, despite being best in talent, not in the top 5 in most rankings in this draft. I'm not high on Ekblad and Reinhart..btw. He's a boom or bust. Done?
  19. This is the 3rd time, you have changed the question. I really don't care about these "Right or wrong" crap. I have nothing to prove, i just want to talk about hockey. If your so focused on being right, you win. I don't care. Tired of wasting time on this. If you want some dirt on Nylander, go search up redline. Pretty sure, they're not high on Nylander despite spending most of their coverage in europe. Rating, and projected draft rankings don't interest me. I've spent enough time on google search, finding the articles for you.
  20. It's an easy comparison. They play on the same line, in fact they looked good together on the same line. They have the same style. So what? He's still a kid, and can grow up so they might not necessarily have the same fate. looks selfish, and lazy at times. i say how i see it. either way, I'd be surprised if the Canucks selected him at 6th. I expect the Canucks will select a power forward and leaning towards Ritchie.
  21. You are a tad slow. Read the post above, November 09, Kabanov is rated 4th. There's your article. I don't care about looking silly. I'm here to talk, what i feel about the player, from what I've seen and my opinion only. Too many articles overhype prospects during draft time, they rarely say anything negative about any player until after the draft.
  22. Here pal, He was rated 4th here. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/11591/iss_top302010_prospects_november/ Regardless, Kabanov rankings has nothing to do with Nylander anyways. Kabanov was thought to be still be a potential first round selection, during the draft.
  23. Read the article. Central scouting had him 15th and ISS had him 7th, after the incident. He was higher before and completely a downfall. Article says potential 1st overall, not 1st round. Bolded it for you.
  24. He fell, after the attitude issues. http://icehockey.wikia.com/wiki/Kirill_Kabanov Google it, and there will be several articles about it. So, don't say, Not even close.
