  1. I just got back yesterday so I was tired, I went to another pub owned by the same chain closer to work. I may go downtown for next Monday's game against Arsenal. I feel like it should be a good crowd. I also plan to be at Anfield again before the year is out.

At this point I will take the three points, but eventually poor performances will not garner 3 points.

Yeah it should be a good game. Hopefully we will play a little better and get a win. I know plenty of Arsenal fans so I'll no doubt get some stick next week whatever the result.

  2. Going back a few pages, I support Liverpool, and the Whitecaps for club teams and England and Canada internationally.

Watched the LFC game today, got lucky in my opinion the LFC goal should not have counted as it was offside. The team still doesn't look comfortable with each other, lots of new players at the club.

I missed the game today because of work. Come the end of the season I'll be glad that we're winning when playing terrible. Usually we'd draw.

Did you go down to the pub?

  3. What a result for us today. We kept a clean sheet and scored three goals (it could have been more). Spurs definitely could have / should have scored, but I'm glad they didn't (obviously).

Joe Allen going down, yeah it was soft but then at the end of the day his arm shouldn't have been up. Same at the other end, Dowd should have given Spurs the penalty for the shirt pulling but he didn't. You win some, you lose some.

Balotelli should have scored, when he does finally hit the back of the net it'll be exciting. It's still surreal to me to see him in our squad. I think he played well, created some chances, had a couple of tries himself. I know he's scored on his debuts before but I'm not worried that he didn't today.

The highlight for me was the Moreno goal. What. A. Goal. Fantastic.

  4. Disappointed with the result today, obviously you don't want to lose to the bigger teams like City but it's only the second game of the season. We have a few new lads and some who will join the squad in the next game. I wasn't too sure on the Balotelli move (still not 100%) but he's taken a pay cut, signed for fairly cheap and has a behavioural clause (I think) so that's more assuring. He's in last chance saloon and hopefully he'll work for Rodgers. If he does and we get the best of him then I think we'll do pretty well. So I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

A plus from today (it sounds bad to say this about your own player) is Johnson got injured. I honestly don't know a single Liverpool supporter that likes him (or his style of play I should say). He constantly looks lost. We'll see if we improve with him being out. Who knows.

I know we won't be steam-rolling Spurs on Sunday like last season but hopefully we can pull out a convincing win. We did alright in the pre-season. Looked shaky against Southampton but still pulled off the win (we used to lose those sorts of games so it's an improvement) and obviously we lost today. Like I said, not too worried as it's only the start of the season.

  5. If you're a general fan then it's good as you have access to a lot of games. I'm not getting it this season because I cancelled my TV package and I'm hoping to go down to the supporters club more. They show every Liverpool game live no matter the time. I'd say it's definitely worth it if you like European sports (I think they show Rugby and Cricket too).
