  1. Juuusst a suggestion cause I am a bit annoyed by those posts...

2370?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> is what you see in the URL. Don't make a new post... JUST EDIT THE LAST PART TO 10000 (or some ridiculously high number)

10000 is what it should look like. Easier then posting a meaningless post.

  2. What I meant by Schroeder being more skilled than Hodgson is what people mean by Patrick Kane being more skilled than Jonathan Toews. Kane is clearly more offensively gifted and has great nifty hands and skills. Toews, while being very skilled himself, is not quite at Kane's level, but he has the intangibles which make him a better hockey player than Kane. Also, Toews is able to do some offensive things that Kane is incapable of doing just because of those intangibles (ie, scoring the SHG to tie the game in the last 2 minutes of Game 7 in the playoffs), just like Cody is able to do some things that Schroeder cannot do.

For Schroeder to have even been considered a top 5 NA skater in 2009 despite his size issues, it meant that his skills were valued that high. Also, the fact that he is considered 2nd only to Cody in our forward prospects despite the size clearly indicates the high level of skill that Schroeder has. The only things that sets him behind Cody is his lack of size and Cody's character and leadership IMO--which is precisely the reason why Kane sits behind Toews.

In the same way that Hodgson is more skilled then Kesler.

I haven't seen Schroeder enough to make a judgement but Hodgson has elite vision and passing as well as a sweet slapper. He has made passes that noone but a Sedin would think of making... Like from the slot to the opposite point who is wide open.

  3. Just a little comparison between our 2008 1st round pick and our 2009 1st round pick: Hodgson had 30 points in 52 games last season--Schroeder is on pace for 27 points in 52 games this season (41 points in 80 games).

Hodgson and Schroeder are the same age, but Schroeder is a late-1990--hence a 2009 pick. Being drafted a year after Hodgson, I thought it was fitting to compare Hodgson's statistics from last season to Schroeder's this season. Schroeder does already have one year of pro hockey under him, as he debuted with the Manitoba Moose last season along with Hodgson.

Schroeder has picked it up as of late, and my hope is that he continues his current pace and has 35-40 points in 52 games (55-65 points in 80 games). He should finish with a higher PPG than Hodgson's rookie year since he already has one year of pro hockey under his belt and is the same age despite being a draft class under Hodgson.

And was picked 12 or 13 spots after Hodgson....

  4. CDC is the ULTRA source. We get every single rumour from the whole internet in 10 minutes. All the signings and trades in less then 3 minutes. We have hundreds of people competing to be the first person to break the story. Non canucks fans should come here for rumours and opinions!!! On top of all that we have our own rumour-validity checking system.... By sheer number of comments and people! (and strict Mods)

  5. I believe that rumours from other sources should be allowed to be posted as long as i says in the title *invalid source*. Some of the nhlsourcesay rumours can be interesting. This way people who don't want to read their rumours don't have to as they can see it is an invalid source. In the sumer months this gives people something to talk about.
