Nice of the NFL to give us 2 back to back bye weeks. Though I'm not sure I'm comfortable with Brady playing the Steelers or Chiefs on 3 weeks rest.

Make sure you give Garoppolo some reps in the 2nd half.

  2. On another note ... now those Giants receivers can hang out with Biebs and party in Miami as much as they want!

OBJ was horrible in the game, dropping balls with no one near him.  Then he punches a hole in the wall to show who's boss.

Brady and the Pats are thrilled that the Giants are out.

  3. For next week:

Green Bay over Dallas (experience over rookie, should be good back and forth, close game)

Seahawks over Falcons (Hawks defence enough to keep Falcons offense to minimum damage)

Steelers over Chiefs (Trio of Roethlisberger, Bell, and Brown are all healthy and playing at high level.  (Assuming Ben's ankle is fine.)  Experienced playoff team comes through, close game because of KC home field advantage)

New England over Texan (easiest pick)

My Seahawks struggles vs division rivals continue this afternoon vs the 49ers who have absolutely nothing to play for but spoilers. Trailing 7-3 through the 1st quarter and on the verge of stopping the 9ers on their current drive in the goal line

They're already in by virtue of being in the weakest division.

The QB soap opera begins for the Cowboys as Romo throws a TD in his 1st game featured since the injury

Just showcasing him for a trade ... this is like the Bledsoe/Brady story.

If he is smart the easy coin is as a talking head on ESPN or Fox and way less stress than coaching.

Gruden and Cowher and Dungy have all figured it out.

Too bad for Rex he lacks a Super Bowl ring which all the 3 others have.

Not sure if I'd listen to Rex on a panel.  He's a bit annoying and pompous.

Now he might have competition for a broadcast job ... Kubiak will be stepping down from Broncos due to health reasons.

Rousey could also have been classier,by just showing up to the post fight interviews. In my opinion she had absolutely no right to be in the ring with the Champion after her last fight and 13 months off.....BUT money talks !!! She, thankfully paid the price.

I'm trying to remember but I think she didn't show up for the previous post fight either, the one where she got beat by Holmes.  Special treatment?

  8. Rousey, a small favorite heading into the fight, is slated for a flat payday of $3 million. Opponent Nunes, meanwhile, is slated for a $100,000 purse. Unlike Rousey, who isn’t eligible for a win bonus, Nunes can earn an extra $100,000 if victorious.

Anyway, just in case you were wondering: Rousey lasted 48 seconds and made $3 million in the process. Do the math, and you’ll find she pocketed a cool $62,500 per second in the octagon.

What does that work out to for Rousey to take a punch to the head .... $250K/punch?

  9. Any predictions for Rousey vs. Nunes?  I think new and Improved Rousey returns with hunger and laser focus ... wins by 2nd round.

Or, if my prediction is wrong and she loses, it will be end of her career ... this woman does not take losing well.

Rumour has it that he refused to bench Tyrod Taylor.  If Taylor gets hurt in a game, he's guaranteed almost $30 million next year.  This way they can either not pick up his option and cut him or renegotiate his contract if the next coach wants him.

Yah, just read that Buff will be playing Jets and they wanted to avoid any PR fiasco.  And they want to give this Anthony Lynn a serious consideration.  It all makes sense.

  11. No body picking the obvious #1 seeds on both sides?  I'm going to go with final four:

Pats vs. Steelers .. Pats win.

Cowboys vs. Green Bay ... Cowboys win.

Pats vs. Cowboys for the SB.  Title for 'Murica's team' ... experience over newbs ... (makes me a bit nauseos to write this) Pats win ... and hopefully Brady retires.

My early sb prediction is Steelers vs Packers. The rematch!

Those are the two that came to mind for me too.

This might happen and would be a great offensive matchup.

    Would get huge ratings too.

Bit bold to pick Steelers on the AFC side unless they have yet to peak and the Pats continue to have injuries.  Last night, Steelers offense wasn't quite clicking in the first half apart from the first drive.  Top four AFC contenders - Pats, Steelers, Raiders, and Chiefs (looked pretty good against Denver last night).  Steelers SB and playoff experience might get them past Raiders (esp since Carr went down) or Chiefs ... but if they meet the Pats, it will be a hard match up.

Good thing is that it appears both QBs like a slightly deflated football on a cold NE day in January :P::D ... so no worries about a complaint coming from Steelers sidelne.  Deflategate II averted..
