Canucks 2-0 since my Horvat skate jersey arrived. I'm never taking it off.

What does one have to do with the other?
Concenus is to bury Loui's and Shallers contracts in the minors to move money. Albeit a very small amount.

Last day of camp and still not signed... this is ridiculous. If he misses pre-season he will have a tough time catching up to everyone else during the season.
I wonder how awkward it is for these guys to walk into the dressing room once signed. Every player on this team has battled and skated their ass off all weekend and Brock is holding out.
Players understand the business side of sports. They got his back no matter what.

I would bet a paycheque it will be.
Guess I'll have to pay to get the C sewn on after season starts. Big Hockey needs their money.

So, vanbased shipped my Horvat jersey today. They called me last month that it could be delayed because I wanted an A on it. They were unsure if he would continue wearing it for this season, so they would hold it until they knew.
With the promo photos released at the start of training camp of their full kit, it seems he will be wearing an A to start the season.

This thread won't age well.

I'll stick to my Canucks air freshener when it comes to car centric fan items.

No-one wants to be first to sign the RFAs.
Precedent setting is bad. Just look how much power the Leafs gave RFAs with the Nylander deal. Uncharted territory now, boys.

Yeah but was it Hellmann's or was it Miracle Whip?
Neither, it was McChicken sauce.

Maybe that one kid had different views that the others... or had a different sandwhich than most of his classmates.....
Probably a mayonnaise sandwich with the crust cut off.

Okay, so a majority of fans are seemingly all aboard the hype train this season with our new roster in place, and I am happy to say that I'm one of them.

This thread is as ludicrous as Messier being named captain..
...except that actually happened.

NHL free agency reminds me of the housing market in BC.
Breadman is clutch doe. Let the East throw money at him. Makes for great highlights.

It feels rock hard. Keep it for nostalgia sake. Haha

Young stars complemented with journeymen role players.
I think the x factor is these players we are adding now have had high level success with their old clubs. Instead of insulating with older veterans, we can now add younger, hungrier players who've gotten farther.

Team is betting on themselves, and trying to ignite our talented core.
Their goal is to give them a taste of the off season -- makes sense cause time is ticking on the our new core, and we can't waste multiple seasons during an impactful time for the team gelling.
These guys have had success at the lower levels, and it would be a disservice to fail them. I can tell they go to battle for one another, and love playing for Vancouver.
I like the picks, Pod is an absolute steal at 10, and extends our timeline if we stumble. Our management made sure to hedge that bet with that pick. Trust them, they have a plan.
More to come in the following week/off season. Get pumped fans, I think this year TG will shepherd our young culture into meaningful success.
There will be ups and downs, but I know our players have the talent to win any night, as long as they play their guts out.
The country club culture that followed our team is being weeded out, finally.
Sorry for the ramble, at a bachelor party and no one cares about hockey. So I'm ready to explode.
GoCanucks Go, friends.

I'm in a similar boat. my initial reaction was to recoil and although there are still design elements I'm not crazy about (the white collar mostly), it's definitely growing on me.
Yeah, I love the modernized stick in rink crest, but they missed a real great opportunity to tie it in with a more heritage look.
Would of loved to see if they could carry over the "rain" perforations in the actual white of the crest too. Might have looked real spiffy.
I'll buy a hat with the logo at the very least... Or I'll get drunk enough to order a Petey version half way through the season.

He's earned it. Dont mind him on the wing, while he transitions to centerman responsibilities. Knock Sutter all you want, but he could learn from him this season.
