Has anyone seen the Canucks' Young Stars roster for the tourney next month? It's difficult to decide on tickets if I don't knowI who's playing!

An extra goal in each game on the PP and no shorthanded goals against and we win both games...
Agreed! Bad plays, bad passes, lackadaisical back checking, ......, happen throughout the games to BOTH teams. The fact that our "powerplay" is so crappy, with the one seemingly go-to play, SPEAKS VOLUMES!

That d Is absolutely awful bottom 5 in league the fact Alvin and jr didn’t nothing to improve our d is shame
Broken record - seems to skip on the same spot all the time. It is what it is - there's plenty of time to add if necessary.

Hughes Tanev
OEL Myers
Dermott Schenn
Stillman Burroughs
What a difference still having Tanev would have made.
Thx JB.
You need to stop living in the past. We've got what we've got. If there's "good news" with Poolman's injury - if he is done - then there may be room to recoup a RD defenceman.

I wouldn't put that game on the dcorp. It was a team (lack) of effort. Too sloppy, too lazy from too many fwds.
Tha 'Nucks as a whole stopped their aggressive skating and forecheck in the second period. That alone allowed the Deadmonton Coilers back in the game. And let's not get started on PP and PK.

I've watched him like a hawk tonight and he's a disgrace. Not even AHL calibre! He must be at minus -4 at least tonight. He should not be allowed to stay on the roster and deprive one of our better rookies a chance especially since they are all playing better than him.
Biased and blind! It must suck to be you!

I have seen dumpster fires behind used tire shops, and various McDonalds locations that would be more valuable to this team than Poolman
We could literally get a guy to lie down in front of the net and take away the bottom half, have Demko focus on the top and middle, and get better results than having Poolman in our starting lineup
We could have poolman cleaning the team swimming pool, and have the usual pool man play in poolmans place, and get better results
I could go on
SSDD! Sigh.

Interesting that Delia gets sent down before Silovs and DiPietro.
Apparently, neither Silovs or DiPietro are waiver eligible.

Haven't seen one yet but a different net minder will probably get go at it.
I'm really not interested in wins and losses, although another win would be fun, but rather, in how some of these unsigned prospects perform. There're a couple of Ds I'd like to see and evaluate other than just the goalies. Young should be interesting to watch, though, if he gets the call.

Has a roster for today's game been posted yet?

So when are they going to post the young stars Canuck roster?
Secrecy from the team? None of their top picks available for this? Tough to purchase tix if I don't know who'll be playing.

Alright its September, hockey is almost here. Can't wait to see the young stars. Question is who is going impress this year and get a shot at main camp?
Do we know yet which young stars will be participating for the Baby 'Nucks? Any of our Swede, Finn, Russian, or college prospects?

It looks like Lekkerimaki (#24) has been stapled to the bench this period?

Why would Sweden not put their best shooting threat out on the 5 on 3??
Dumb.
To my eyes, Sweden has looked disorganized, particularly on the PP. It may be a result of poor coaching, ie. coach's poor decision making. Thoughts?

So....., a month away and still no Baby 'Nucks roster for this tournament?

Excellent proposal and fair.
Put the teeth back in JR.
Time to get ‘er done!
Do you just have a hate on for JT, Alf, or just drinking too much too early? Your insistence on trading JT is becoming truly tiresome.

Have the Vancouver Canucks signed an affiliation deal with an ECHL team yet? It appears as if only the Wichita Thunder, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, and the Allen Americans have no AHL/NHL affiliates. With some Abby 'Nucks signing AHL/ECHL contracts, where might they go?

Is that the Addison that is 170 pounds, and plays in the minors? We’d be a lot better off with just picks.
I suppose. Calen Addison, 5'11, 180 lbs, played 4 games for the Wild behind a fairly strong defense group, and is considered a blue chip prospect. The suggested throw in, according to Aaron Heckman, the reporter, was Dmitry Kulikov.

In an article I just read, sorry I can't link it here, the author suggests that to replace Fiala in Minnesota, the Wild should trade for Garland with RD Addison + as a return. It's interesting. Thoughts?

"Without getting into an argument" is your starting sentence and you end with "if you're a hockey person, you'd already know that".
Passive aggressive much? Lol.
Look, you make it sound like defense is a team game, but that offense is not? It is a team sport, so I would assume, even without being a "hockey person", just by pure logic, the relationship would exist on both end no?
I do agree with what you've just said. I didn't mean to come across as being "passive aggressive", and I apologize for that. I'm just getting so tired of members belly aching about the lack of getting a RD this summer, when a) the summer isn't over; b) we have too many forwards at this time; and c) the team has added some dynamic forwards that they believe may have some size, speed, "bite", and defensive acumen.

So is offense. Not sure what you're getting at.
The one position that is influenced the least is goaltender (thank God for Demko), and even that can be said is a team strategy.
Without getting into an argument, when the team as a whole has talented, high hockey IQ, forwards AND defencemen, the team as a whole should be able to play a more cohesive "defensive" or tighter style, without giving up offensive opportunities. If you're a hockey person, you'd already know that.
