    Belgium will be tough. Croatia and Morocco are beatable. They will most likely face Germany or Spain if they place first or second. It's not based on ranking. First plays against second of group G and vice versa.

    Reality is Canucks start the season with 6 games on the road and have not looked very good in preseason. Their two top players have not been in the lineup yet and need to play and get ready.  We will be without Hamonic Sutter Motte and probably Boeser to start the year.

     

    The bottom 6 has not looked good at all so far.

     

    There are lots of questions - and excuses don't cut it this far into the Canucks rebuild.

     

    I am a real fan - not a passive aggressive poser. I have had season tickets for about 20 of the 50 years I have been a fan.

     

    I want a winning team this year that makes the playoffs and deserves to be there.

     

    I don't want excuses anymore.

     

    It actually makes me sick to see people constantly post excuses for this team.  I don't care about the off ice nonsense.

     

    i want a winning team on the ice. Please get out of the way and stop clouding the waters.  We need to win.  No more excuses. No more off ice drama from fans.

     

    Fans should demand a winner on the ice.  Period.

     

     

     

     

    It's preseason. Doesn't mean anything. There are teams that bomb during the preseason and then turn it up once the actual season starts. Same goes for teams that dominate preseason. Canucks have had very successful preseasons and then went on a losing spree to start the season.

     

    Fans put way too much emphasis on these games. If we start losing during the regular season, then we can start to panic and demand more from the team but for now, let's wait. A lot of new faces on the team, takes time to get to know each other. Plus it wasn't our full roster yet.

    Sure, it wasn’t pretty from an objective fan’s stand point, but as a frenchman, I am unbelievably proud of that squad. i would’ve liked more changes (Giroud and Coman for Mbappe and Benzema around the 70th), but clearly DD was weary of messing up the tactics in place, and it paid off. 

     

    The germans will be very scary this tournament... teams better prepare for them! 

    France plays a very good defensive game and then countering with Mbappe is incredible. Your best players were Kanté & Pogba. They played very well. I do wonder though how France will respond if they end up being behind. They got the quick owngoal now and closed shop basically. Granted they are very good at that.

     

    Germany doesn't have a finisher unfortunately. They are strong but no one to finish the plays. I think they will go far but won't go the distance.

     

    Will be an interesting tournament!

    Yes, an awful owngoal but normally defenders are taught that they are never allowed to pass the ball between the two posts so that they can avoid such mistakes. Reason also that the keeper went off to the right. Defender should've passed the ball to the right of the post.


    Still a bad mishandling of the ball though...
