  1. I am far better looking brother. I appreciate the work you are putting in PO , thanks mate.
  2. Torah with a Silver in the Half-pipe , you go girl ! , disapointed she did not win gold , Kelly Clarks second run in the qualis was the best run of the day so i thought she would be the main threat to Torah in the final, Congrats to KIm on her gold medal performance. Really disapointed in Ouellettes performance thus far , would have thought the captain of a canadian hockey team would have peformed a lot better than she has. I knew that it would be the women that would be the weakness on my team , i did not have time to do the research. Am very happy with the performance of my swedes , Karlsson was my first pick -male hockey players , scored 2 goals yeah baby Backstrom and Landeskog a point each , last nights points should lift me from the bottom of the points standings , i was starting to feel like the GM of the Oilers.
  3. Thanks for the info Azzy , it gives the illusion of a more equal competition.
  4. Regarding your quote on the americans dominance in the olympic H/P , it has been in thev olympics since 98 , the greatest snowboarder ever , Terje Haakonsen led a boycott of most of the best h/p riders in the world that year, he hated the FIS for their treament of snowboarding, rightly so, as they had srewed snowboarding for years until it became popular with the masses.
  5. Watched the Qualification runs of the Mens H/P , Whites first run was a 95 , i thought it was a good run but not 3 points better than the Japanese riders run. The Aussies were solid but need to go bigger at this level of comp , the American/Aussie was our best placed rider in 9th. Totally shocked to wake up and see no seppos in the medals , am already hanging to see the replay to find out what happened. Congrats to I-Pod on winning the gold , this guy has so much talent and is a chilled dude , well done mate. The big one is on tonight , Canada v USA in the womens hockey , kinda wonder why they put the 2 best teams in the world in the same group so they cannot meet in the final, with Finland in that group as well that is the three top ranked teams in the one group.
  6. Went to sleep in my chair trying to stay up for the mogul Qualifiers mate , the Canadians ruled, I always go for the canadians if there is no aussies in the event or an athlete i admire, I do not really know what to make of Dale Beggp- Smith , he truly is an enigma.
  7. Watched the US -Swiss game last night , 9-0 was kinda farcical for a competition at this level. I know they have to scrape up enough teams to have a competition but that game was a joke, like watching NHL players playing a bush league team. Watched a highlights package of the Canada- Germany curling match was kind of enthralling , the germans pushed the canucks all the way to the last end. Was also impressed by Charles Hamlin in the short track Skating , he smoked his competition over the last few laps. Another notable performance was Armin Zoggeler medaling at 40 years old , one commentator stated that he becomes the athlete with the most medals at the winter olympics, I have yet to verify this. The biggest gyp so far was the Norwegegian kid Sandbech not taking the gold in mens slopestyle snowboard, his rail section was sick and he was the only rider to stomp all three of his landings , i also think the canadian Max Parrot should have been on the podium , thats What happens when you have judges. The Half-pipe looks pretty crap , the walls are too steep and there is too much vert at the top of the pipe , i hope they fix this before competition starts . My condolences on your loss PO , hope the service goes well.
  8. Thanks again , I am not the brightest spark when it comes to computers
  9. Love ya work PO . Finland and GB share an early lead. Really looking forward to the Slopestyle tonight , Torah has a solid chance at a medal maybe gold. Will be watching it with friends that include a girl that has represented your beautiful country in the world -cup Half-pipe snowboard , she is from Toronto her dad lives there and is a fanatic leafs fan and her mum lives in chicago and is a black hawk fan ......sigh
  10. Thanks brother , I cannot find the stats for assists on that page.
  11. Hey PO can you provide a link for the stats of the womens ice-hockey games at Sochi please.
  12. Hottest night on record in melbs , stayed over 30 all night , am over this one month heat wave. With our 11th pick we select Anna Borgquist With our final pick we choose Womens Aerials Skiing. There is my team , good luck to every one , heres hoping we have a great olympics.
  13. USA beat Finland 3-1 womens ice hockey. Watched the slopestyle final , the jumps take-offs and landings looked steep , some riders were sketching out their landings The seppos took this one out , i thought the norwegian kid Sandbech laid down the best run but thats freestyle for you. Fun fact Norway have won more Winter Olympic medals than any other nation at 306 , i consider that a phenomenal achievment for a nation of just 5 million people.
  14. I would have given gold to Sandbech , congrats to the seppo though.
  15. Watching the Final now , you can totally see that the riders are strugggling with the jumps , the take-offs are very steep, throwing them up rather than out , look how most riders are tight in the air but are "reaching" for their landing.
  16. From next year on the Pens will be paying over 7 mill for those 4-6 weeks.
  17. Heard Anna Segal talking about the course and riders this arvo , she said that White was not riding well and that he is the type of person that is only in it to win , thats the reason he pulled out it was not the state of the course rather the state of his riding.
  18. With our 9th pick australia selects Kelli Stack With our 10 pick we select Gabriel Landeskog
  19. Hey PO Henrik has pulled out of the Olympics mate.

  21. Hey mate it's only dogs ,for the Sydney Olympics the homeless were told to GTF outa town , cannot have them spoiling the view !
  22. I agree that Marty deserves a spot but i am amazed that James Neal is not on Canadas roster , 19g 24a +13 in 36 games. He is one of only 14 players in the NHL this year that is averaging more than a point a game.
  23. Thanks for the kind words brother , it is truly a pleasure to play this game with really good people.
  24. There has been lots of contraversy surrounding the slopestyle course , on monday Torstien Horgmo crashed and broke his collarbone practicing on the course , many of the riders are complaining about the steepness of the take-offs and landings on the jumps , Sean White has pulled out of the event, will be interesting to see what happens from here on in. I am really stoked to see that a young Aussie Snowboarder Belle Brockoff is speaking out about Russian treatment of gays and Lesbians. Belles Family has a long association with skiing and Mt. Hotham in Australia one of the runs at Mt.hotham is named after her great grandmother and the hut where i met so many of my friends over the years is named after her great Aunt, i skiied a bit with her mum in the 90s and she was quite a successful ski- racer here in AUS. While i believe that our athletes should be at the games i also believe they should speak out against injustice , i am really happy that a young Australian who has strong ties to my home {resort } has the courage to do this.
