dalredane
I am a fan of the Nucks as much as the next person, but you can't deny that the better team won. Conspiracy theories aside, the following was prevalent: 1) Our powerplay sucked in the finals 2) Thomas vastly outplayed Luongo, shutouts aside 3) Their top-4 defence outplayed our top-4 defence 4) The Sedins managed to vanish into being minus players 5) We couldn't seem to figure out the formula that when we hit we won the game....especially in game 7 There were many others to list, but as soon as I saw we were: A) Not finishing every check Backing in at the blue line and letting Boston get easy entry into the zone I started to feel it was all over. I still had hope, I still love the Nucks and will cheer for them, but as a long-time hockey fan, you knew it was all over when they weren't even doing the simple things above. Injuries happen and I won't blame it on that as a team is more than one person....but as soon as Hamhuis went down, the whole dynamic changed.
