The Kessing Booth line
To Van- Brandon Dubinsky Fedor Tyutin Derek Dorsett To CBJ- Luongo Ballard Schroeder Van gets a fairly young productive 2L C to replace Kesler then when he's healthy move Dubinsky to 3L C. Van also gets a physical, but also good offensive top 4 D that can play either side. They also get a very physical 3/4th line grinder that is pretty decent offensively in Dorsett. CBJ gets an elite goalie in Luongo for the next 4 years. They also get a young top 9 C in Schroeder for their rebuild(I could see them turning him into a winger). They also get Ballard to bolster their D and keep them comfortably above the cap floor. Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Booth-Dubinsky-Higgins Raymond-Lapierre-Hansen Kassian-Ebbett-Dorsett Edler-Garrison Hamhuis-Bieksa Tyutin-Tanev Schneider [backup G acquired in trade for pick(s)] When healthy: Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Booth-Kesler-Higgins Raymond-Dubinsky-Hansen Kassian-Lapierre-Dorsett Edler-Garrison Hamhuis-Bieksa Tyutin-Tanev Schneider [backup G acquired in trade for pick(s)] Thoughts? JensenFan2011
no point a first round pick has to be involved for a trade with luongo to happen..... we have a pretty set team we need to trade luongo with our future in mind
Sick Hands
It seems you've completely looked over the point that Luongo has to approve the trade destination and there is NO way he will waive to go to Columbus.

JensenFan2011
How is this not thinking of our future? Dubinsky is only 26, Tyutin 29 both signed long term. Why not go for the cup now with 3 top C(H Sedin, Kesler, Dubinsky) and worry about getting first rd draft picks later? Btw good luck getting CBJ's 1st rd pick, thats likely a top 3 pick aka Mackinnon, Drouin or Jones.
Danthecanucksfan
Luongo says no to this.
Felix Potvin
Would have to be Schneider not Luongo cause he wouldn't wave and rather keep Luongo anyways
