I know but it'll get challenging to commit to any top 2-tier players without shedding salaries...
They do their job all we do is eat popcorn in the stand

Yeah as a Nux fan I don’t think we should laugh all too much about this.
If we aren’t a playoff mainstay in 3 years time, and say a team like NJD takes a major step forward, I’d imagine it would pretty tempting for a guy like QH to want to join his brothers there. Hopefully if it ever came to that our players should show a bit more loyalty or appreciation that JG showed CGY for the time and money invested into him there
..If someone doesn’t want to be here move along. Some of us aren’t lucky enough to afford the beautiful city we were born and raised in!

New Jersey is actually a way better trading partner. They still have lots of cap space.
Marino and Bratt for Miller, Myers and Hoglander?
We need Myers for RD

This means Washington might circle back to Miller

I really don’t want Sam Reinhardt but we might have to take him to get Weegar.
Miller + Garland for Weegar and Rhino.
That’s what they would probably ask for. That’s a lot to give up too

Sounds like his preference is to stay in Florida but they might not have the cap space. Ottawa might be the fall-back plan.

There's really been no indication that they are interested in Miller. Added the Friedman bit on Weegar to that post - he also talked about it on his podcast. Picks and prospects the targeted return as they are looking to clear cap. They would like to retain Marchment, Giroux.
Isn’t Giroux like 90% done to OTT?
&^@# it let’s trade our 1st and not suck next year.

There's been no indication that they are interested in Miller. Seravalli on his podcast says they are far less teams interested in Miller than initially thought - says 'significant interest but only from a few teams'. Don't see Florida being one of them and really can't see them parting with Lundell. They ran into a hot goalie and Brunette failed to adjust - they now have a more experienced coach in Maurice. Weegar could be on the move because they can't extend him in a year - Miller will likely be even more expensive so it doesn't add up.
But they are losing Giroux tmrw right ? I wonder if something could be done around Miller and Weegar.
Especially because of Miller’s hit (5M) they could make another real push…
If they wanted to, it gives them the year to figure out their cap situation.

Karlsson might be on the roster

Huh?
You'd tie up $10 mil for 8 years for a player who vanishes in the playoffs?
What a waste of money.

I think we could get a couple of solid free agents at decent dollar with all these unqualified players and upcoming UFA’s and the flat cap

I do. Sounds cute, but no thanks.

So many decent players not being qualified wtf….
might be driving prices down.

Gudreau - Pettersson - Quinn Hughes
who says no

No reason to not give Martin the opportunity to back up Demko.

[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks
in Trades, Rumours, Signings

The upcoming UFA class of C is very thin. Larkin isn’t going anywhere.
Horvat knows he could get paid extremely well especially if he hits 30 plus goals and 65 plus points.
I hope something can get done for cheap but I doubt it.
Still need another top 4 RD but we have to see if Quinn will do just fine because if he does then OEL-Hughes could be a problem for a lot of teams
