JeffSaber
I was wondering, with the playoffs about to start next week, anyone know how I can check how many hits a team has thrown? Last year, I remember in Game 7 vs Chicago we were hammering them over and over and over again and I lost count of the hits within 5 minutes. And also I saw someone start a thread on here before stating that we had outhit Boston in last years cup finals. So just to be clear, I was wondering if there is a way I can check how many hits a team has thrown in a game or through out a series. Thanks in advance for anyone trying to help. -Vintage Canuck-
Go to NHL.com --> Scores --> Pick a Game --> Boxscore --> Click on "Team Stats" and it should say how many hits a team threw with other stats as well.

Nucks fan in TO
Imo, it's a pretty useless stat...home team scorekeepers are notorious for slanting the hitting numbers in favour of the home team.
Coke
A list of hits thrown by all teams both at home and on the road: http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm?fetchKey=20122ALLSAAAll&sort=team.teamName&viewName=realTimeStats
Coke
But I guess the number of hits thrown doesn't accurately show how bruising it is to play against a team, seeing how Toronto has the 4th most hits in the league (home and road combined).

etsen3
Keep in mind, stat keepers are homers when it comes it hits so you may not get an accurate picture when it comes to hits. It would be interesting to find out which buildings have the most biased stat keepers.
