Dude, there's no way Burish is ever going to be on this team, PERIOD. He's among the most hated players in the Canucks dressing room by far.

Might as well trade for Marchand.

We lose our current 3rd line, for a completely different one. Replacing Hansen and Higgins is Arnott, who is over the hill and does not help us get younger.
Burish would not be popular in the dressing room. I realize they are professionals, but there is a limit on who you can bring in without tension. Why create problems for nothing?
SJ would not make that deal as well, and it doesn't really benefit either teams. We lose our 3rd line for 1 second line player.
FLA wouldn't do their deal either.
And how is Gill and improvement over Hansen and Ballard? He is a good PK guy, but so is Hansen. I wouldn't even know if I would do Gill for Ballard straight up. Ballard still has the potential to improve, Gill, while still a good player, is nearing the end of his career in the next few years.
Also, you've continually posted in the wrong section. If you don't know how to follow the rules when starting a topic, then why bother? You are only going to get flamed for it.

Gill wouldn't want to play here. Bad memories for him!

I hope the canucks stay away from Arnott, but i guess with LTIR he would only take up cap space for a third of season and be an extra body for playoffs.Ballard will have his best season and hansen is just solid for his role.

No. I'm sure Arnott would fit in better than Pahlsson did but we need to get younger. Whoever we get for Luongo and our prospects are what we will be using in the future. But thanks for trying.

I would agree that having one of our prospects fill the role would be best, but if management has talked to Arnott, they must be thinking that the prospects aren't ready and a return of something for Luongo that could fill the role is unlikely.

major overpayment goint to nashville for hal gill. luongo for matthias and a 1st and howden would be a good deal, but odds are gillis would probably to have to settle for 2 of the 3. as for getting clowe, san jose wouldnt move clowe for rick nash, why would they move him here?
