Anyone know where I can solid round bars in the lower mainland?

You should be able to find solid round stock at any steel wholesale outlet. Just figure out what the outside diameter would be and the length of the rods. It would probably be a good idea to drill a hole in each end, so a pin could be inserted through the rods, to keep them in place on the rack.
