Misconduct16
Hello fellow CDCers, I've been looking into the money put into NHL franchises, and I was curious if any of you have seen sources of what the off-ice budgets of NHL teams are. I know it will vary substantially team by team (whether they own the arena, rent the arena, scouting staff, team staff and management costs, etc) but I'm trying to get an idea on how much the total would be. Any sources would be much appreciated!

rb4u
Difference between budget and players salaries for TOR, MTL and NYR are well over $100 million. What the heck are these team spending on once player salaries are accounted for?
Misconduct16
Depending on the arena situation a lot of teams either have hefty mortgages and maintenance costs, or large rental fees for arena's. Any arena in a downtown core (Like TOR, MTL, NYR, VAN...) all will have much higher rink costs than everyone else. Money also goes into all sorts of other things, the sleep doctor the canucks hired was a couple million if I remember correctly (think it was in the news), scouting and management and coaching staff and trainers and... the list goes on and on.
