  1. He's not falling out of the top 5 so I don't really care. If he drops tho, then you grab him w/o thinking about it.
  2. Lmao. He's going to be Grabner and Jake's going to be Perry. Ehlers would die in the West, let alone the Pacific. The reason the other small guys succeed (Kane, MacKinnon, Oshie, etc) is because they have 10x the skill Ehlers has. Ehelrs plays in the easiest league w/ the best player in the CHL. His stats are highly inflated...
  3. And yet, he's still leading Canada in points...
  4. Barzal has been playing great at the u18 championship, same w/ Virtanen. I hope this scenario of yours happens.
  5. Virtanen has a better shot, plays as physical a game as him and is a way better skater. That's y.
  6. I can respect that. Give Virtanen 1 year w/ Torts and he'll be a changed man.
  7. This is a forum, where you express opinions u dimwit. I don't know how to make it any clearer, maybe caps will work: IT'S MY OPINION THAT JAKE VIRTANEN WILL HAVE A MORE SUCCESSFUL CAREER THAN ZACK KASSIAN.
  8. So u think all hockey players are down to earth, good natured human beings who are grateful to get the opportunity to play sports for a living? There's a reason why players leave teams- some are greedy pigs who are playing for $. Is everybody? No. But to say that Virtanen is all those things is probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Reggie Miller was a great basketball player and he was a prick to most ppl outside of Indiana, I'd love to get a player like him on the Canucks. He could talk the talk and he could walk the walk. Well, except for win a championship... I don't care how u act on the ice as long as u put up #'s. Plus, this team had Lapierre on the roster so, yeah, u want to talk about arrogance, you look at Max. And how the hell can u call this team "classy." We lost the right to say that after the cup run. All the diving, trash talk, biting, taunting, etc and etc. There's a reason we're one of the most hated teams in the league, we're anything but classy if u remove the Sedins from the convo.
  9. Thanks for not being able to interpret my comment correctly. I said there's risk to every prospects and you can't say statements like Kassian's better than Virtanen. It's my OPINION that Virtanen will be better at age 23 than how good Kassian is right now. You said the most obvious statement u could've said. That's like me saying Kassian is better than McDavid. he may be right now, but who will be better when they're the same age? I didn't say it with certainty, I predicted, something all scouts do. You're the real bafoon w/ your Philly trade proposal...
  10. A lot of people are pointing out flaws in the prospect's game. Some of them are unture so here are some issues with top 10 draftees: Ritchie: Injuries, struggles w/ his weight sometimes (not my words) and inconsistent Ehlers: Plays w/ Droiun (inflation of stats), smallish (weight), he plays in the QMJHL where it's apparently easy to rack up points Nylander: Not many points in a league harder than the CHL, small, defense isn't good, hangs onto the puck for too long Perlini: Needs to be more consistent w/ body in offensive zone Virtanen: Needs use his teammates better, push for excellence in his defensive work and exert his physicality on a constant basis to win puck battles, "cocky" according to some Other potential draftees: Kapanen: Injured in the past, needs to add more speed to shot, Fleury: Offensive side of his game (passing, time to shoot, ovr offensive skill ,vision, etc) Overall, I'd say the safest guy to go after would be Perlini. Most risky of the bunch IMO would be Ritchie. I don't like players who've been injured b4 or players that r inconsistent in terms of stats.
  11. He's the furthest thing from a locker room cancer. He's a leader for the Hitmen at the age of 17. I would also appreciate it if everybody would stop throwing around the word "cancer." Cancer effects millions worldwide and shouldn't be thrown around as a term to describe a hockey player inside a locker room...
  12. He's projected to go in the top 10 and maybe at #8. Ppl would still be talking about him regardless of where he was from. Altho, I do agree that more ppl talk about him because he's from here.
  13. So do u think he goes in the top 5? Or r u just saying Ricthie will be great? Because i disagree w/ both thoughts...
  14. Nick Ritchie is the furthest thing from a safe pick. Injuries, inconsistency and "weight issues" plague a player who could be great or a bust.
  15. There's a word for those players, it's called jealousy. Look at the team right now, Kesler and Burrows are among the 2 most hated guys in the league. They dive and bite, in the case of Burrows (not saying whether it was right or wrong, just stating a fact). As long as u produce on the ice, idgaf how u act.
  16. No s*** Kassian is better than Virtanen RIGHT NOW. Virtanen is 17 and still hasen't gotten drafted. Kassian is 23 and has been in the league for a ocuple of years. You're comparing a guy who hasn't even gotten drafted, let alone played an NHL game to a guy in Kassian who's been in the pros for 3ish years now. Kassian may be a top 6 fwd on our team, but not on a lot of other good teams. Obviously we don't know if Virtanen will make the NHL. We don't know if Ekblad, Reinhart, Ricthie, etc, will make the NHL. There's risk to every pick. Give Virtanen 6 years of development and he'll be farther along than what Kassian is right now. This might be the dumbest comment on this thread- and that's saying a lot.
  17. We had enough size against Boston too right...
  18. Lol, he's not falling outside of the TOP 3, let alone the top 5...
  19. Opinions change over time as players improve or decline. You know what else is retarded? Your proposal to Philly for Kesler. Might be the most one sided deal in the nhl in recent memory.
  20. Well no s*** Sherlock. Like I said in the post, I'll take anybody in the top 5 in a heartbeat (Ekblad, Reinhart, Bennett, Dal Colle, Draistail) None of those guys will fall to us...
  21. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/nick-ritchie/ Says 235 in black and white. And I don't really understand how that's evidence to how i don't lift. You were just relishing for the opportunity for lashing out in a personal attack weren't u?
  22. He's an 18 yo who weighs close to 235 (according to Hockey's Future). There's a thing called too much size. I don't have a problem w/ it if he can skate. The only reason I bring his weight up is because it was mentioned on a website I was reading.
