The league said it was Cavs ball. 2 missed calls at the end.

"The NBA's last-two-minutes report is out, and it says, indeed, that last night the Cavs should have retained the ball with 27.6 seconds to go (refs mistook who last touched it before it went out). And, indeed, LeBron's block on Oladipo with 5 seconds to go was actually a goaltend"

Rachel Nichols tweeted that. Refs messed up twice.

RIP, refs out here messing games up

But Pacers shouldn't even have had possession since Young knocked the ball out of Lebron's hands.

Yeah saw that too. Not 100% on that play, the ball looked like it was still in to me when Young poked it loose. I may me wrong tho

Ball is going to be a star, watched his Summer League game, dude can play. Forget bout all his Dad talk, he humble and he got game. He is going to be the future of the Lakers. You're going to sit back and enjoy the ride as a Lakers fan.

He needs to polish his D and Jumper. If he gets significantly better there, he could deff have an MVP impact one day

Bruno has been in the league for 3 years now? Play him now or Raps just waste all that potential.

Casey is an old school coach will never play him imo. Great coach defensively but he has no real system for offense.

I would replace Casey with Jerry Stackhouse. He's the next great coach on the come up. He uses his entire bench and has some innovative ideas on offense.

I was super bummed when they decided to keep Casey. Man does not coach well. I understand that you can't run the best offence with iso players but cmon do better. Casey makes so many dumb moves and takes forever to adjust. FFs he kept Carrol starting for so long

Raps need to play Caboclo and OG!!!

OG wont be ready until Dec and is only a rookie while Bruno is a big work in progress. Still, all for developing them just nice to have proven players

  7. So the Magic signed Simmons to a 3yr 20 mill contract. After seeing the price I was really disappointed the Raps didn't try to get him. We could've fit him through the trade exception and would've been a great backup 3 guard(Hes a sg but he can play sf). Athletic and great defensively.

@Watermelon So wait your going to give Kobe credit for ALMOST winning scoring titles but Lebron gets hate for making the finals a ton and losing 5 times!? Interesting..

You were using scoring titles as a way of discrediting Kobe's scoring abilities and I was just trying to show that that is not the case. Scoring titles and finals records are totally different dude. Scoring title has so little value. Most of the time the player doesn't even go far in the p.o

The weak east argument is pretty funny. If Lebron makes less finals his finals record would look much better. But then the haters won't have their main ammo :lol:The east is not nearly as good as the west. I don't think even this GSW dynasty would be able to make 7 straight finals in the west but the east it is possible for Lebron and his teams

Anyway man I think I'm done with this lol. Good little back and forth. Given more than enough evidence. All about perspective. Ahaha agreed bruh. Good discussion

The numbers just don't add up for Kobe to be greater than Lebron.

Kobe is supposed to be this insane scorer. Only has 2 scoring titles (Jordan had 10/Durant has 4). Crazy good player but only 1 mvp. He should of got mvp the year he averaged 35. That's still only 2. Since 2010 only 4 times has a player averaged 30+ in a season. To put it into perspective, the 06 season had 3 30+ppg scorers. The Nba used to be very ISO dominant which is why guys on worse teams like AI and Tracy would put up huge numbers. But kobe was 2nd in 03,05,08,12 Third in 09,13. 8 top 3 scoring season(2 wins) in his 13 year prime is not bad at all. Quite amazing actually.

PER, fg%, 3 pt% and most efficiency based stats favor Lebron. It's just facts. Can't argue with efficiency, Lebrons much better there

Mentioned this before but at the end of the day James has led his team to the chip 3 times. Kobe only did it twice.  To be fair Kobes had 7 tries and Lebrons had 8. Lebrons number is still going to rise too and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with a 3/10 record in the finals. So

Kobe can't even pass why would he be MVP?

Hes #29 on all time assist(#2 for non-point guards only lebron is higher) so pls stop

Kobe was consistently getting knocked out in the playoffs, hence he had to play less games and minutes every year. Not defending Lebron for taking possessions off, but it's easy to see why he does it.

Yeah I guess. Kobe would have much better stats had he not been injured for hundreds of games in his career. He played through seasons while needing surgery for numerous injuries too. The guy was too determined to play meaningless reg season game lol but gotta love the mentality.

Other than the Shaq era Lakers, Lebron has had better teams and played in the easier conf so that might be another reason as to why he did played more po games

  12. 12 minutes ago, TheHitman said:

What? Why would they split Nash's MVPs? 2004-05 would go to Duncan, Garnett, or Iverson and 2005-06 would go to Duncan, Wade, Iverson, or LBJ if they didn't go to Nash.

I just meant to say Shaq and Kobe deserved more MVP's throughout their dominant careers but if anyone deserved that 06 MVP it was Kobe imo. He put up one of the best statistical season in history. 35 pgg in a league where the avg team scored 97(mj for comparison put up 37 in a league averaging 108 ppg). That MVP was his had his team been better but Lebron was second in MVP voting that year and his team only won 5 more games. Nash really didn't deserve either mvp really if you look at all the other players that had great season those years

  13. 1 minute ago, Jiggs50 said:

Why throw your best player on the other teams best players who are going to tire him? Cleveland's winning those series easily so why tax Lebron? He's already playing 43 mins a game in those series.

At the end of games and in crucial moments he usually picks up the best player most times.

Lebron's slowing down defensively anyway cause of how much freaking basketball he's playing. 7 straight finals = a hell lot of games. Fatigue is bound to set in.

Im just saying you can't compare Lebron to the dpoy or on a lesser scale Kobe when this guy takes nights off on D so often

Mvps matter in the right context. A Difference of 1 or 2 is whatever. Difference of 3 (LBJ) or 4 (MJ) is telling.

Durant is one if the most skilled players ever. Dude is 6'11 and can handle the ball like a pg and shoot like Curry. He used to eat Kobe alive too. It's just now KD's on GS. If you read his quote about him doing his part etc etc you would understand how Durant wanted nothing more than to be finals mvp. He played for stats lol.

Btw Lebron averaged 34 and a triple double against Durant and he's viewed as a really good defender...

Kobe and Shaq both deserved more than 1 mvp each. They could split Nashs two mvps and I'd be okay with that:lol:

I have heard KD be called a good defender by anyone and I would not consider him anything other than about average. He's long and sometimes hovers like LEbron so thats why he got so many blocks this year but I wouldn't consider him lockdown by any means.

Durant had to go all out or this guys legacy would be even more tainted. Look at the stat hunger Lebron has
