He didn't sign for less per year. He just took a 1 year pro-rated deal at 10M for the year. He obviously didn't want to be here but took it for the money.

If you change the word "bold" to "stupid" I agree. I'll give you a few examples and then you can let the excuses for each one begin. If you could offer up 10 things he's done that are good at least we'd have a push. Over to you: 1. Offering Sundin 10M per year for 2 years, 2. Having 2 goalies making a combined 10M per year (with 1 obviously sitting on the bench each night) on the team and creating the worst goalie controversy I've seen, 3. Naming Luongo the captain of the team, 4. Trading for David Booth, 5. Trading for Ballard, 6. Resigning Burrows at $4M+ and giving him a NTC 7. Trading Schneider, after grooming him for years and telling Luongo he's our starter with a shot gun to your head on draft day for Horvat, 8. Hiring sleep doctors (fluff doesn't mean you're doing a good job, it just means you want to sound like you are) 9. Hodgson trade 10. Giving NTC's or LTC's to anyone old enough on the team to chew gum.

I agree with you. I worry post Olympics or after this season when there's an out in his contract (just the ability to demand to be traded, but it doesn't mean MG has to do it), I think Luo is out of here. He was treated poorly by MG. You could seriously make a TV show out of the gong show that occurred there. I've said many times sarcastically that MG has a hard time ordering breakfast, forget making trades for players/millions of dollars. I stand by this. He just doesn't k now how to make a deal..............I'm happy for him to prove me wrong anytime.

I agree that there is favoritism in sports as its a business and they'd rather see two teams in the finals that generate high ratings so they can sell commercial time, etc. I also agree that PED use is high in all pro sports, and it's my opinion from just looking at some players (including current and former Canucks) there's little doubt they were using PED's or are currently using PED's. What I find amusing is that a thread can get locked for not having a title, or if you say something Canuck fans don't want to hear, the thread will get locked, but this thread can make wild accusations (which I also believe to be true) but because the accusations aren't being made against the Canucks, they ignore it and let it go. So the Bruins and the Kings are using PED's but not the Canucks? Does that make sense? It's either rampant in the league amongst all teams, or its not. It's just not purely rampant on teams that beat us.

Wow, for all the threads that get locked, this one can accuse the league and the US teams of PED abuse and it doesn't even get a warning? Maybe Chicago and the Bruins manhandled other teams because they're bigger and stronger and more skilled and not because PED's were involved? This is why the Canucks rank as one of the most hated teams in hockey. Good job mods.

Lack isn't good enough to be a pimple on schneiders bean bag yet. This post suggests that if it were draft day next year and all the goalies were available and it was our turn we would have a hard time choosing between Schneider and lack. Maybe u and Mg would but every other rational thinking person in the world wouldn't.

I listened to that interview as well. Pretty much right after that he said its hard to make a trade in today's NHL because teams want to trade you back a player with an equal cap hit. Or they want to trade back a player with a lesser cap hit, or a higher cap hit..........................wtf..............those are the only options! The fact he can say all of this within sentences of each other just goes to show how confused he really is.

Both of those teams haven't lost 5 straight and both are currently in playoff spots.............us.............not so much

Did you see the way Florida ignored the BS disallowed 1st goal that was waived off? Luo had control of the puck how? We talked for a week about how the BS Sedin goalie interference call cost us a game, but FLA got screwed just as bad and do you know what, they just went back at it and scored anyways. Don Taylor, BMac, all of Team 1040 are just brain washing us. Our team is mediocre and they try to sell us as a cup contender.

Just a hunch but maybe its because we play our 4th line for an entire time of less than a minute during a game and play our top line for more than 25 minutes

Most posts say NYI lost this trade, NYI made a dumb move, NYI paid way too much for the trade..................NYI beat us a few games ago........so how bad/dumb can they be
