It's been over a year since infection for me and I struggle every day.  I'm unable to do many of the things I was able to do pre-infection and I'm not really getting any better and I know many people in the same boat.  Prior to infection I was a healthy, active, athletic person.

You're the exception, not the rule. 99% of us, including myself, my brother, and his family(including a 67y old) all recovered without any effects.

Just freaking wear one, what did you lose. Absolutely nothing. It is one of those things where it is better safe than sorry.

Also, in asia where mask wearing is prevalent to begin with and was ordered from the beginning shows significantly less covid cases and deaths compared to western nation where mask wearing became a political statement. Empirical science had already proven mask effectiveness slowing the spread of viruses.

Also, the start where WHO and CDC says mask don't work was to prevent you and I from buying up all the mask supplies. That was the stupidest decision all the health officials made. They flat out lied to the public instead doing the right thing and just state the truth.

Uh. I wear a mask 8 hours a day at work and then again at home.

Stop knee jerking and assuming Im anti-mask. All I'm getting across is the complete failure of our leadership. I voted ndp in provincial and federal elections, and I feel let down. I also know that some of these mandates, such as glory holes and no showering after hockey are stupid.

Stop parroting. I know to wear a mask

  3. My favourite part is Horgan saying this is all on folks 20-39 years old, as if we haven’t done our part for over a year (as well as being those on the frontlines), while he’s sat around pandering to businesses and industry instead of dealing with this properly over a year ago. Feck him. This is on them. The continued spread of the virus and the mental health crisis (which was already bad before the pandemic).

That masks works better.......dick f***ing tracey.

A cloth mask still works a helluva lot better than nothing at all.  Cut the bullsh!t and keep your community as safe as you can.  Or are you just a selfish ahole?

What's really funny is they said only N95 masks worked and that you couldn't simply use a cloth mask when it all started. Nor could you just wrap a shirt around your face.

Covid is real. The people ordering mandates are whats fake.

    Podkolzin is a winger.

Miller just turned 28, Bo will be 26 in April. You always gotta look to the future when it comes to prospects because most prospects don't step right into the NHL post-draft.

Ah, so he is. My point is, getting another centre isn't a bad thing. You can create a logjam, and players don't like being stuck somewhere. You can play centres on the wing and whatnot, but I think the Canucks need more goal scoring wingers, and a steady shut down D.

If he's BPA at the spot we pick, sure. But as much as I like Quinn, I'm not interested in picking his brother over BPA for the sake of having 2/3 Hughes brothers.

That being said, having another high end D prospect definitely wouldn't hurt. Would like to see more centers in our system though.

Why? Pete Miller BoHo Podkolzin are all Cs and sub 28. With 3 sub 25. The Canucks need defence and wingers

I am not sold on Babcock being the right fit for where Vancouver is at. He is a good coach for sure but seems to do better with a veteran group of players.

I think he makes veterans out of players. His way of teaching might not have been up to par, humanely, but what he teaches is responsible hockey, and accountability.

Are you honestly trying to sell me that Brock Boeser wouldn’t have scored 1 goal in 11 games to get to 30? Because that is laughable at best.

Or 4 in 13 games the following season.

That's not the point. The point was we haven't been scoring very many goals for a very long time. This whole not scoring thing has been going on for awhile. It dried up and had shown glimpses of coming back last season. Miller, Pete, Bo, Boeser, all looked lethal, with Virt almost at 20. It sucks the season was cut short. Now this season the struggles are there again, but with Boeser leading the way. No one at a point per game.

There are 184 NHL defencemen who have logged at least 250 5-on-5 minutes this year and Myers is bottom-five with his expected goals against rate. That influx of quality chances against has translated to the second-highest actual goals against rate among the club’s defence corps. By the eye, it’s evident that he’s allowing too many controlled entries against as a result of poor gap control, that he hasn’t been able to deny passing lanes well enough and that he has found himself out of position from time to time.

This has happened with virtually every D we have brought in. I've said it a million times, its the system, not the players.

Funny if you go to the Prospects forum Vcr has a barn full of quality prospects, but apprently not good enough for the NHL. At some point prospects must become NHL players

    Good Prospects =/= NHL player

again, Buffalo, last ten years - 1 first round playoff exit then 9 years of failure. Canucks last 10 - 5 playoff appearances, 4 playoff round wins. 2 president cups, one trip to final.

We have been rebuilding for approx 3 years (after the retool nonsense). This team will only get better.

Again, 2010-2011 season excluded, which is the 10th of your 10 years... The canucks have 3 playoff appearances, winning 3 of 12 until the very last season of your 10 season count where they won 7/13 with a 2nd round exit. Totalling 10W-25L with 1 series won.

Take away the first and last year of your 10 year stretch and you see 3 appearances with 3W-12L and 0 series won.

    The Canucks have been abysmal.

That’s dangerous with COVID since people are gonna approach him if they spot him.

Wouldn’t want the NHL/BC government to make him quarantine.

    Stay safe and aware Petey.

    Are people really this scared?

I mean... 4 playoff appearances, 1 finals run and 2 presidents trophies in the decade of the comment you quoted. And still further ahead in our rebuild which really only started in 2017/18 with a brighter future than Buffalo.

2010-2020 Was a bad decade. 3 of those appearances were in the first 3 years. There hasn't been a 30 goal scorer on the team since Radim Vrbata. The only player to be a point per game since 2012 is JT Miller.

To say the Canucks have been anything but underwhelming since 2011-2012 season would be a lie. The end of the last season the Canucks weren't even projected to make the playoffs. They were fortunate to have the play in. While they definitely stood there ground and had a solid run, it was on the back of stellar goal tending that the Canucks did so well. The team was heavily out shot, and was the worst team, metrically, in the playoffs.
