    Imagine this top 6 of the future [if we draft Eichel/Barzal and Ehlers]

    Ehlers - Eichel/Barzal - Kassian

    Shinkaruk - Horvat - Jensen

    that's one sick top 6...especially that top line, that can go up against the Malkins and the Neals once fully developed...

    Ehlers has probably the best wrister in this draft IMO.

    Eichel is a beast to say the least. Who ever loses the McDavid race will win big time if they get the opportunity to draft this monster.

    Who cares? well for starters I do because I am and always will be a fan of the Canucks whether we are at the top of the league or the bottom. I will always stand by our team and cheer for them regardless of how good or bad our team is. If you don't care then why are you even here?

    We will, too. Lets not kid ourselves, but it pains the rest of us to see the team go down this way...

    I accidentally posted this in the other thread when I intended to post it here:

    I'm starting to think that the Rangers may be a darkhorse in this situation. It would not surprise me if a trade happens to a team we aren't hearing much from. Sather is known for late season shake-ups too.

    If they are able to swing a deal for Marty St Louis, possibly for Callahan+, then another move could be very likely.

    Stepan, JT Miller, 2015 1st or Brassard, Kreider, 2014 1st

    These would be the most likely ranges. Obviously we'd ask for Stepan, Kreider, 2015 1st but I think the Rags balk at that.

    If we get this this package, I would go downtown dancing in the streets nude.

    Yeah, you have been right about Kesler wanting out I guess. I remember how no one believed you.

    Of course Kesler is going to shoot down the rumours.

    That's cute..You hang on to the black and footage of winning the SC..back when you had a 1 in 6 chance if winning it..How old we're you in 67..?

    Leafs haven't even been to the finals in almost 50 years..not even close.

    Okay, the break is here.

    As of now, we're 19th place/30 teams and 3 points out of 25th place.

    So now we're already out of a playoff loss. I don't think it's even worth making a push for the playoffs just to get eliminated in 4 games. We're half way there, please tank the rest of the season...

    If we end up getting the 3rd pick in the draft, I think it will go down like this;

    Buffalo: Ekblad

    Edmonton: Fleury [Don't need a forward, will likely draft a defender]

    And this is where Vancouver gets lucky and drafts Mr. Sam Reinhart.

    Diaz has really helped with puck movement. He's either very good at it or just shows how bad the rest of our D are.

    Good energy tonight but absolutely no finish

    Lu, not nearly good enough...again...6 games where his sv % is below ,89%.,

    When over half of them are 2 on 1s, 3 on 2, quality scoring chances due to our crapty D-coverage? Yeah, he's clearly not good enough.

    My ass. Every goalie in the NHL would've allowed a minimum of 3 goals against those scoring chances.

    all have been out at some point this season sometimes multiple players like right now with Santorelli Weber Hamhuis Bieksa and Tanev all out

    i know people wanna not use injuries as an excuse but come on the Canucks have rarely iced a healthy line up at all this season

    Teams that are good are able to play through injuries and still win more games than they lose...how long has it been since we've won more games than we lost? That's right, we haven't done this so far this year...

    soooo fire Torts? or trade everyone for new players to play Torts style?

    I don't know what it will take, but I think we need a trade and need it as soon as we can if we want to turn this season into something...this team isn't going anywhere without a top 6 forward. We need a top 6 forward.

    You're right...the ageless wonder MSL and Stamkos > Sedin twins every day of the year...I was hesitant to say that 2-3 years ago...

    Say what you want guys, this is not a slump...

    slumps don't last ~1/4 of the season. That's how long we've been slumping, and it has been happening since Hank has been in the lineup.

    Even if you argue that we have some key injuries, Tampa's playing without Stamkos and has been playing good hockey. I consider the Canucks a better team than Tampa, but maybe I'm wrong...

    Funny that people say they haven't seen the 7 minute powerplay. As soon as I read this, Marchand comes to mind. He got a 7 minute hit for when he clipped Salo. I don't think Sestito's incident will injure the guy, so he doesn't deserve 7 minute PP.
