I think it is a good sign that Gaunce is the most improved. A smart and motivated player who is making good strides.
AND BIG
-
Not to be pro virtanen or anything but with the emergence of shinkaruk wouldn't that have made nylander redundant? I think shinkaruk can be a better pro than nylander.... IMO shink has more heart and tenacity
its been a month, lets not get too far ahead of ourselves

When you talk Matthias or Higgins it is about upside and whether you are looking for a 2LW or 3LW. It
might be a stretch to think Sven B can come in as a 2LW. The way Willie roles his lines it might not make that much dif anyways. It might have as much to do with who the C is as well. Unlike Kesler it appears Horvat actually makes his line mates better. Matthias could easily have had another 5-6 goals
this season and the conversation about resigning him would be entirely different. I would have a lot of
trouble walking away from a player with that size and speed.
The Calgary-Vancouver series is not the real NHL world. When you look at the ANA-JET series you can see
where the NHL now is. Size does matter and Van does not have near enough.
matthias scores off the rush and does very little to help his line mates.
danny is better, sven is much better as a skill fwd, higgins and kenins are much better as checkers and put up better numbers, and matthias is so bad on face-offs that C isn't an option. hansen is faster and plays harder and is a right hand shot, burrows plays harder and is better, kassian is better and big, vrbata is better, dorsett is a beast, and vey is cheaper as a 14th. buh bye matthias, too bad you don't use your frame and have tunnel-vision
-
calgary is so so bad for his development
-
DO YOU KNOW THE WAY TO SAN JOSE
-
YESS!!! He can protect the puck and get it to Vrbata for a shot. Bonino and Higgins can't do that.
Matthias didn't even crack double digits in assists this year.
-
Haha your a joke man.
lol

How are his facial expressions though?!? lul
THIS
-
I rarely respond to his messages, in fact that's like my 1st one all season. He's Way too pessimistic.
but you did, so who cares
-
HBO just finished airing the entire story from the beginning over the past few weeks. They were showing three consecutive episodes per night, leading up to the start of season 5 tonight.
this helps him how
-
Based on Dorsett's facial expressions he's secretly a Reptillian disguised as a human who was sent to Earth to prepare for the invasion by destroying the rest of the NHL.

Confused as to how Virtanen is not eligible to play in the AHL. Jensen did at 18yo. As did Schroeder and Coho.
too big of a bust
-
Maybe Mike Milbury
he said 'in the league', not beating little children over the christmas holidays
-
- Baertschi - Bonino - Vrbata
- Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
- Matthias - Horvat - Jensen
- Kenins - Richardson - Dorsett
- Edler - Tanev
- Clendening - Hamhuis
- Bieksa - Corrado
...
this makes me cringe
-
Also, it was hilarious seeing Schroeder outmuscle Vey leading to a goal last time we played the Wild. Perfect irony.
schroeder is better defensively too.
-
baertschi, shinkaruk... i feel like this is nhl13. 99 shooting ftw
-
Im a huge Virtanen fan.
But does anyone else find it funny that Jordan Subban has more goals than Virtanen? Lol
LLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL
-
virtanen has consistently taken the body and worked hard. he's gonna be fine.
-
And Schroeder is far from a liability. He has 7 points, and is +9 in 10 games on Minnesota's third line. Unfortunately for him he lost a spot on the roster because of the deadline, but it was not due to lack of production or skill. They would have had to break up other lines, and he was the "easiest" player to scratch because of it.
7 pts in 18 games.
he was filling in on the 2nd line a lot
when a team wins 5 for every 1 loss, plus-minus goes up.
