If the Canucks wait till the 2024 TDL and retain 50% and also potentially get a 3rd team involved to retain even more then YES Myers does have trade value...won't net a premium return but this is what I prefer the Canucks do. Hold on to Myers, we suffered for 5 years, keep him till the TDL and flip him for a draft pick with retention or double retention.
Move out: Beauvillier( replace with Hoglander) Trade 1 of Garland/Boeser. Consider the best offer you can obtain for JT Miller before his NTC kicks in, move him if you get a return you like, keep him if the offers are poor. He is still a very good player and can fill a void for us as we wait for younger prospects to develop and one day grab a prominent NHL role eventually.
Gosh, has Myers been on the team for five years? Time trudges through mud when you're having a miserable time, I guess.

People have got to stop with trading Myers to Chicago. He has 10 team no trade.A guy basically from Western Canada with homes in Vancouver and Kelowna is not moving to Illinois to finish his career if he decides to call it.Please stop. He's never going to a rebuild.
I'm sorry to break the bad news to Tyler Myers, but he's been playing on rebuilds for the bulk of his career.

First trade with Chicago is horrible value for us.
Myers can probably get us an asset back, and that asset would go up in value the longer we hold onto him.
Not a big fan of the rest of the trades either, but I agree with the sentiment that we need more size and toughness in the lineup.

Yeah, good luck with Myers fetching anything essential in return.

This is why I am in favour of drafting Matthew Wood. 6’4”. 200 pounds and will peak at probably 210-215 pounds. He would be our Mark Stone…
This is why I want Vancouver to draft Colby Barlow. Not as big as Wood but he's 6'1 190 and plays like a power forward, displays great leadership, and simply looks like a hockey player. The facial hair also helps.

This was a very popular COVID meme in the primarily latino neighborhood I reside at in Anaheim during the cold months of the year:

Been jamming the new Protomartyr album for the past week.
I've also enjoyed new albums by Greg Mendez, Bar Italia, and Meat Wave.

But his second most famous role is a character who doesn't shut up.
Rowan Atkinson is a very intelligent, educated individual, but I hope this isn't his heel turn and the lousy beginning of a series of unsavory cancel-culture fodder rants that shows his true old age and exclusiveness.

Would the Canuckleheads just be trying to roster an entire defensive corps of 6+ million per year players?

You think Wolanin is top 4 d? Yikes. That's more delusional than the fans who thought Spencer Martin was the long-term backup goalie solution.
-
I'm sure upper management smiling at their defensive lines on paper, and see Hughes/Hronek, Ekman-Larsson/Myers and think "Am I so out of touch? No, it's the fans/other teams/living world who are wrong"

Tanner Jeannot was worth more than Kane.
Because Tampa Bay will literally give away a 1st round pick for anybody. When their window closes, it will be sealed shut.

Colby Barlow, come late June. Right now, Klimovich (or McDonough if/when he signs)

Just logged in for the first time in over a year to say, is that the best they could get for Bo? Yikes.

Considering Motte has been a nonfactor in New York and a healthy scratch (surprise, surprise), I'm sure Vancouver could easily bring him back. It was the system, not the player.
-
My eyes glazed over reading "OEL takes over as our #1 defencemen"
-
I still fully believe Motte resigns in the offseason.

Tyler Motte's value WAS a 4th rounder.
Your opinion is that Motte has not developed into a player worth more than when he first entered the league?
No, that is not my opinion. I like Motte plenty for what he does. I didn’t think Vancouver would get a 2nd round pick for him, nobody but Canucks fan thought that.

See you at the parade downtown for the 5% chance at a NHL player we just received for one of the hardest working and skilled 4th liners in the NHL!
5% is higher than I thought. Also, Tyler Motte was a 4th round pick, people who say nothing good comes from that round.

I'm honestly glad Eichel won a Cup before McDavid.
