I think Virtanen is being swallowed up by team depth with or without Pod, but yes I do think Podkolzin will be ahead of Virt once he makes the switch.

Pod is superior in hockey IQ, 200ft play, and work ethic already.  Not sure he’s any more skilled from a goal scoring perspective, but he’ll have better totals because he’s a 200ft player.

Really excited for this addition.  It’ll really help with team depth and give Green some new options and looks in all situations.

I would love for this to happen and fully expect it to. I just wish virtanen had a better work ethic because if he turned it around we’d have a pretty deadly third line too.

So why would NYR take LE? Why should Vancouver pay a 1st?

Lol the most I think we should give is LE and put this guy in Utica till his contract is up. Clearly has a huge attitude problem and with the guys we have in the nucks locker room, he wouldn’t fit in well. If by chance he turns himself around in Utica then it’ll be worth it if he doesn’t then he’ll be gone and that’s that.

Yup it just might be both need a change of scenery. Who knows, Jake might hit it off being on a line with Monahan or Lindholm, etc. Jake was given every oppurtunity to succeed here and he hasn't, maybe same for Bennett on his end. We've seen this song and dance with many players who change teams and they just take off whether its coaching staff or personnel, all I know is both players need a change

I do think that with a change of scenery they would both be a lot better off than they are now. Virtanen won’t be as distracted and maybe it’ll be a kick in the shins for him and he’ll work to get to where he needs to be. As per Bennett... imagine a 3rd line with Motte and big mack on Bennetts wings. That’s a good third line and come playoff time they could be huge for us.

One disagreement about that post is Chatfield. I personally thought he had a good game and was physically engaged each shift. Juolevi had a smart game, if you could take all of Myers boneheaded penalties away, he also played a pretty good game.
Schmidt and Hughes were a mess.
This was a game where it shows how important the Eagle is on the back end, he stabilizes our zone

I was honestly really liking chatfields game hope the guy is okay

I didn't NOT expect this though. Our coaching allows for these games to happen in 50% of our games. Absolute jekyll and Hyde team and Green refuses to call timeouts to get his team back in order when they need it.

We should get torts back and have him bench anyone that doesn’t play hard. Just like he did to PLD today lmaooo mans played 4 minutes
