Bud,
I even defended Schroeder until it was lights out for him. I don't give a turd about people, I care about my team and the long term success of it. Sitting behind a screen posting endlessly negative things about our teams prospects hoping they fail and then calling yourself a fan is a load of crap and deserves to be called out.
Homers are one thing, but the $&!#e we see in this and the Juolevi thread is pathetic
yes, I have nothing against what you just posted, I don't mind calling out people for calling any of our players names or other negative things, old or young, as long as those who calls peope out dont do the same with other players and hadn't called any of them names or other negative things. Except for criticism of course.

It sickens me to see "fans" of this team and sport all but praying he gets cancer and dies.
Claiming endlessly how terrible he is, how you hope he flames out, how you were right the whole time looking for attention and then saying but I hope he proves me wrong is sad. If you can't get behind prospect X look, there's 5 more who are doing amazingly well you can support instead of spending all your time hating this 1 kid.
I mean it's 1 thing to be critical of a kids game play, it's 1 thing to be critical of a kids development. But to sit and hope they fail? To post things online like I heard from a friend I know something but I can't post it like a vengeful ex or a spiteful child...
Like praying the pilot of your plane has a hearty attack mid flight.
I see the same people defend Jake say the same thing about Willie D Edler Vrbata Vey Bonino Matthias. Don't know if I saw you defend those people though

ME
I WAS RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME
I HAVE BEEN MORE RIGHT ABOUT JAKE THAN ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM
Just take your attention and go. Nobody gives a randy shart about your opinion of yourself or how vaunted your self taught drafting and scouting skills are.
You're not right just because you said so because this kids career hasn't even started yet.
And I quoted myself in another thread as a response to someone else because it's valid, not because I am looking for validation on a hockey forum
Jake is 20. You're right about two things at this point. Jack and...
If that changes in the next 2 to 4 years we'll throw you a pity party, you can invite your frieends
same can be said about you

I read that wrong, my mistake.
In my prior list you'll see though that you're kind of confirming everything I've said. Players do not pan out as per their draft status. A 6th overall pick can produce like a 60th overall pick He of course deserves the criticism but the endless complaints are tiring and old. The only thing more so is the "Ehlers Nylander" comments
See below
Now, with your crystal ball from way back then how many times have you won the lottery? You know seeing as how you knew Virtanen wasn't as good as Larkin, Pastrnak etc.
Generalize and conclude?
Should I start posting some of your recent comments in here in where you not only do just that on a consistent basis but also do it without any information to back your opinion up?I could give 2 randy sharts about rep points. The fact you seem to look at that and think it's important though tells me volumes about you ya saucy muppet.
haha sure throw em all let's see. let's see where I generalize the fans and doesn't say why i generalize them.
You like to portray people as terrible and belittle them calling them people with less common sense or worst than other people, just because they don't agree with you. In fact, when you make these generalizations and conclusion It's always always on your post to call a certain group or somebody an idiot or stupid.
look what you just did, you call people having crystal balls and all just because they they have an opinion that is different to you, and how does that make a discussion to progress when you all you can say is "crystal ball".

I look at these threads and I actually at times think some flames fans and leafs fans have more common sense or patience than Canucks fans. Gods, Howe knows that if the canucks sucked as bad as the Leafs and Oilers did these last 10 years we'd have 0 fans left and they'd be cheering the team leaving wondering when we'd get a chance to draft a new one.
You often generalize and conclude things on most threads garnering lots of reputations in your post like this ones, getting a lot of reputations surely doesnt stop you from calling them having less common sense and patience than other fans

Aren't we hopeful Jake will become more than a fourth line grinder though?
Depending on how he plays as of now he's more likely to end up as a bottom 6 grinder, and anymore is just a bonus

In hindsight the fans drafted Jagr, Sakic, Neidermeyer, Brodeur, Ehlers, Tkachuk, Kopitar, BureKarlsson, Keith, Weber and somehow managed to get Gretzky too.
But then there's a reason that these are fans and not GMs/Scouts or people with anything to do with a hockey team because outside of a forum I see a lot of these people drinking their soup through a straw
Filthy stupid that our fans had the better choice during that 2014 1st round draft than somebody who is a GM/scout and does it for a living.

Anyone with any idea as to why Olli hasn't been playing much throughout the tournament?
You mean to say any one with "a positive idea" for such. I mean OJ is the 1st Dman we picked in the first round for a long time and we've never won a cup during those times, so you can't possibly give a poor rating on the guy
-
Edler really stabilizes Stetcher. Stetcher must love that he's the one being relied on to make the play on their pairing as Edler always pass him the puck and plays support, instead of just hammering the puck on the boards

Man way too much bashing for way too many unknowns.
has everyone given up on virtanen and juolevi already?
why bother placing the value in immediate results vs possibilities.
Most people want high picks anyways so with ehlers and tkachuk on our team are we contenders? Doubt it...
are we a playoff team probably pretty close to it so we'd probably be closer to that no mans land 7/8/9/10 spot.
Ehlers and Tkachuk chance of turning out was much higher so they have as much possibilities as our picks who aren't doing as much as the two.
wouldn't probably make our team a contender if they're with us just but its the same our picks

Benning very high on this guy
TSN 1040 interviewed him and said that Zhukenov is comparable to Pavel Datsyuk in his draft year.
Said he is a very determined Russian Centre who thinks the game well with high hockey IQ, very good offensive player and defensive player. Strength an issue and needs to work on it but really likes the potential in him.
so it's JB not CDC

This guy is hyped to the point of being compared to Datsyuk.

Doesnt work... the organization has to develop the players from draft with the players developing together and growing up together.
So that the bleed Canuck and their drive and will to sacrifice is strong. Like.. Toews/Kane/Keith/Seabrook, Crosby/Malkin/Fleury/Letang, Kopitar/Brown/Doughty/Quick.
We had somewhat of a poor man's version with Horvat/Shinkaruk/Virtanen/McCann. But now we are trading them away for "developed" bandaids? Look again at the above examples and wave the cup goodbye.
Should've gotten players with strong will power

Haha yes I see a pattern. Whoever JB signs we got lucky and whoever he doesn't he screwed it up. Only on CDC...
just one person becomes CDC... only on CDC

That's because the kid is too worried to make a mistake. That's a coaching issue. He makes even one mistake, and turns over a puck, and his rear is stapled to the bench. He needs to be ENCOURAGED to play freely, not discouraged by every shift. WD must instill confidence in his players. That's a coache's job, no?
I don't think you can absolutely blame WD in this matter. He complimented Virtanen even though Virt complained about him. WD even gave him a chance to be with Bo and Sven afterwards.
If Jake could not handle the puck with composure, then hes not confident with his ability. Can't blame WD for everything not going with Virtanen. Bo was in the same place playing 10min a game when he was 19, he worked his butt off improving his defensive game to earn more ice time.
-
if he has skill he should be composed and confident with the puck. but he's the opposite with it most of the time.

Berhind what? Teams that have already been rebuilding for 5-10 years?
Even teams like the Hawks and Bruins are ahead of us and theyre not even rebuilding. doesn't take away the fact that we're behind

Other than Demko, Canucks' best prospects are still in Junior and/or College hockey. The lack of blue chip prospects in Utica is a reflection of the previous regime's poor drafting record as most of Benning's picks are not yet eligible to be playing in the AHL. Next season we will see an influx of Junior graduates moving up to Utica and I think we will/should see a much better team there.
the regime doesn't matter when we talk about the Canucks general prospect poll. It supports my claim that the Canucks are indeed behind.

He played tough, then got injured and sat the series they lost. He was very much missed during that final series. He's a heavy guy, and was generating fear in the other team's d.
they missed his dump and chase, and hitting game I see. Either way it'll probably have the same result, can't win if you can't score

We're even, or ahead of most except for elite forwards. There, we are behind.
if we're ahead of most Utica should atleast be a middle team but right now theyre one of the bottom team in the AHL. I don't see the Canucks even or ahead at anything.

he was there during the Utica playoffs run. didn't score any goal though.
