1982-91 they had 12 rounds. 1995 they went to 9 rounds until 2005.

And that was only after they decided to put a limit on the number of rounds in 1982.  Prior to that, the draft went on for as long as any team wanted to keep drafting.  The Habs were infamous for adding players into a 14th, 15th, 16th rounds (with no other teams still drafting) before they finally decided they had enough longshot prospects.

I remember Antoine Roussel also tore his ACL and he did an interview and said that it nearly took him over a year and a half before his knee felt "normal" despite it being healed within a year's time from his surgery.

Part of me thinks it might take Mikheyev some time to get back his speed and trust in his knee again, but then again, he was already a very productive player even when he was injured.

So that's why Roussel never scored 50 for us!:(
