God I love this guy. I could care less about that 1st rounder we gave up. Miller has everything we need for a top 6 player: goal scorer, playmaker, plays PP, great mentor for Petey and Brock, great leader. List goes on!

At this point I think he’s worth 2 1sts with his cheap contract. JB got a steal. As you say, he does everything really well, which is very rare and very special. Miller’s going to help us do something special in Vancouver Canuckland, I can feel it in my bones.

  2. So while last game’s result definitely sucked, especially considering how we lost, we still got a point and the other one went to an Eastern Conference team. Our team is young and I think it’s good to learn the most important lesson in hockey (that no matter what the score or what period you’re in a team can always come back) the hard way with not too much damage in the overall early points/playoff picture resulting from it. It will be a beneficial and valuable lesson that can come in handy for future games. Honestly in past years we probably wouldn’t have got a point out of a game like that. Manage your losses (even if they really really hurt and suck).

They’ll bounce back this game and should be extra motivated. Predicting a win to start the streak going again. Can’t wait to watch!

    Go :canucks: go!

how about we discuss their season point total

after the nucks have played a more realistic schedule

that includes more of the better teams

and back to back games, rather then this very team friendly 2 to 3 days off between games

i think we'll know a bit more about this team around the 30 game mark

they are definitely a better team then last season

and likely going to remain a playoff bubble type team

but 109 points is a little crazy as a goal for this team

will be very happy to be wrong about this

It’s not a goal, it’s what the team is currently on pace for after playing 10% of the season. Doesn’t mean that can’t change over the remaining 90% (which it probably will).

Don’t confuse an observation as an expectation. The two are not mutually exclusive and in this case are not at all similar. Just pointing out some stats in the lead up to the game tonight to generate conversation, which this did, so mission accomplished.

Cheers my friend and enjoy the game!

GLAd the rangers only showed up for the third.

Markstrom the only only reason it’s wasn’t a disaster.

Sutter needs to watch a few games from the press box.

The same Sutter who is currently on pace for a 50 point season and is a +1? He made a mistake at the end of 3 games in 4 nights. He’s looked fantastic overall this season. The boys are people after all.

  5. I always watch 30 mins behind to avoid the commercials or I record every Canucks game. I’ve done this for years now. This was the first time where I didn’t fast forward to the next goal anticipating/fearing a blowout loss since about the 2011 cup run. I knew we could come back against the Red Wings and because I’ve seen the fight in our team to come back when down I almost expected us to come back. It feels like no lead is insurmountable, that every game is winnable and I can’t wait for the rest of this season. Win or lose, this is a different team and us fans are to benefit regardless of the scoresheet.

    GCG!

P.S. Let’s beat St Louis and make it 4 in a row. I’ll be watching and cheering! :towel:

  6. I personally love the song. Hope it stays. Engages the fans and makes the building loud to cheer on our boys after they put one between the pipes. Holiday was great for a past era of which I will always cherish. It’s time for something new. I think people will grow to like the song. It’s simple, but if I heard that in an opponents building as a Canuck fan I honestly would hate it. Reminds me of Chelsea’s dagger in a way. I bet hearing that song on loop for 8 goals made LA hate it. It’s great when it’s your side hearing those types of songs after goals, but awful for the opponents. There’s something to be said for psychology in hockey, players have emotions that can be effected. Now of course it’s up for debate if there are better songs out there as this thread shows, so this is just one fan’s opinion. Take with a grain of salt.

When you phrase it like that, it's not so bad, and I agree to a degree.

To straight up say the song sucks is just silly.

I was under the impression it was “bang, bang, bang, bang” on a loop not “hey” so it made sense when I first heard it. I thought it was a good annoyance song for the opposition to hear similar to the chelseas dagger in Chicago.
