this has been a near perfect tank day we got the L islanders got a point... dont want them dropping too far. Stl beat Arizona in OT 3 point game... hard to say if Arizona winning would have been better MTL won Phi/Nsh went to OT and nashville won best case scenario with both picks in mind Washington beat boston... good for the NYI pick Colorado beat florida.. good for the NYI pick... the only negative things is that Buffalo and Ottawa lost... if buffalo keeps losing they could push up the NYI, and maybe ottawa catches us in the tank standings... and the good news... is that we are the worst team in the NHL in the last ten games

the more and more i think about it... retention on this year and next year is not that big a deal... if it gets us a better return... its not like we are going to fix the team in one year anyways....

there is some trolls that are funny... and we all tolerate them... there has been maybe two times in the past year where i have had stepped in... its not pretty... im of the firm belief that banning these people does not stop them... they just make new accounts. again sorry for coming off conceded, I know i look that way... and am that way on occasions...sometimes i just get that way... especially when insults get flung my way... if you let people insult you they will continue to do it if you dont challenge them back. that is what i believe and i understand that its controversial.

there are trolls on this board, and its no secret that i don't take kind to them. anyways i do not consider anyone i spoke with today a troll... there are maybe like 1-100 ratio of trolls compared to regular posters you really have to be a really negative person to get my troll treatment... like over 65% negative and rude and insulting...and Im not sorry to the fact that I will do my best to inform trolls that they are not welcome here, maybe i might be a little too aggressive... trolls feed off misery, they will act out toeing the line of a contributing member, but sometimes they take it too far IMO... If i see other members talking about these trolls getting out of hand or getting upset because they are getting insulted I will step in and "remind" them they are not welcome Im sorry that this disturbs you and apologize for upsetting you.

well one.. whoosh! and second, how do you know we haven't been in secret tank mode? it seems like they did the exact opposite of correcting our weakness's... in the offseason they said they were "comfortable" with starting the year with the defense we had, never said they were happy or claimed we were a playoff team... context is everything... losing this year is the best thing for this team.

actually i think you are clueless, coaches and GMs and leaders notice where they are weak and improve on those area's ... they also notice where they are strong and praise those efforts.... Focusing on the negative all the time is a recipe for a terrible leader, coach and GM... and IMO fan too... I hate those types of fans
