Imac interviewed today on 650 and said this was ALL Jim Benning's doing. He's the one who's been leading the charge on bringing them on board...having the conversations with them, etc.
That's good to hear. Having the Sedins around can only bring good things.

I dont think thats true. From what i hear he will be back next season. The issue is he wants surgery but the team wants him to rest. Even with surgery he can recover in 8 weeks i hear.
It is true.
Quote“It's been speculated and discussed from Jack's camp about potentially having a surgery that's never been done on a National Hockey League player before,” Adams said. “Our doctors aren't comfortable with that.”
Rehab isn't guaranteed to work and surgery is a wild card
Quote“There's a high probability that through a conservative rehab approach, you are able to avoid surgery and you're able to come back and perform at the top of your game,” Adams added. “That is what everybody agreed upon and that’s the hope that we all still have. What I want to make sure you all understand is we’re still in that window.”
If he elected for the surgery and it didn't work he isn't going to be playing hockey. If the rehab doesn't work he won't be the same player.
Too much risk for my blood when I see what the Sabres want.

I believe this move is more to please old man Aquilini. Older brother stepping and making sure there are advisors in place to make sure everything is being run smoothly and on course. I take this as more of a lead for Francesco from the family.

Teams should learn from San Jose and Erik Karlson. Eichel is a top 5 centre in the league if healthy. He's not healthy though and he may never be healthy. That injury could be something that forces him to retire.
-
The Kings should be all of this. They could pick up him and Giordano and give themselves a good chance to make the playoffs next year.
-
I would say 2m retained and then Schmidt + Joulevi but I would first be exploring a Seth Jones trade with Schmidt being a key piece if nothing can be done there then package him for OEL as long as salary is retained.

Initial reaction was NO FRICKING WAY ...that is a no deal!...but after reading the article...it gave me pause....
likely hood of it happening....slim....but on second thought it would be nice...
No fricking way. Why would you give up the 9th overall for the same player you could get in free agency. Reinhart is no different than Hopkins. They both will be in the same $$$ range. Just no.

He had a bit of a reputation (unfairly IMO) of not coming up big in the playoffs. Murray was in the net for their last two cups and add that to his contract and Pittsburgh made a large mistake. It definitely was not unfair. He was at one point the worst playoff goalies of all-time. I would literally watch their games just to laugh at the pathetic goals he would let in. He cost the penguins cups. He had one solid year where they won the cup and then after they he just cost them cup after cup. He was atrocious. He would be great in the regular season and then literally could not stop a beach ball in the playoffs. It took a lot of sports psychology to finally get him playing at the same level he played at in the regular season in the playoffs. With that said in his final year with Pittsburg he proved he could play in the playoffs and that is when they left him for Vegas but with how Murray was playing letting him go seemed like the smart thing.

Video coach has made some of the worst calls in the league. I think we won one challenge all year.

LOL, I thought Lehner was supposed to be Vegas' goalie. Is he injured or something?
Lehner was hurt to start the year and Fleury was playing Vezina calibre. He earned the starting position.

If she created a store and used shopify, which is incredibly easy to create an online store with, received the payments through shopify you can see from within your admin settings likely fraudulent transactions and refund the payments. You can also use various 3rd party apps that go a step further and contact the suspicious payments to see if they're fraudulent. I would never just receive a random payment from someone online without it going through some sort of 3rd party like paypal at the very least to be able to see if their paypal address is verified which means you're covered if they try to screw you.

Yep. Time the league fixed a couple of things if they truly want this to be a socialist enterprise. One cap counts come playoffs as well. That's a farce for sure. Like watching the 2002 playoffs with Detroit buying a cup-lite.
Hope CAR wins this series. I don't have much rebuild envy because factually JB so far is within range of creating a better team on average then we should be (all context included). But i do envy where CAR is at right now. They paid their dues, 9 years in a row without one playoff, two rebuilds mashed together mostly the second one left. We've got a long ways to go yet to get to their point, but do have one thing on comparison, for a stretch of three years we had a top NHL pool. Take that and add five years and wa-la 9/10 times your a playoff team on the rise. WNP did it. TO did it, CAR did it, EDM never ever had a top pool lol...why they never did it until McJesus and Draisaitl came along and that's just starting.
Don't have a crystal ball but do believe we have a chance to get to where CAR is now in 2-3 years. Possibly sooner if things go right for us. If we don't then we will have a new GM (Sedins? lol who knows) who will have to re-set, trade Horvat/BB/Miller or two at least and go the COL route.
It's unfortunate and ugly that when teams have to rebuild it takes as long as it does. Just the way things are now. IF you want to contend for a long time, you need so many things to go right. Trades, signings, drafting et al. Not sure JB is the right guy to put us over the top, but as long as his drafting is stellar the next two seasons we'd be smarter to keep him on. We still need that.
Poile had so much shelf live in NSH because he concentrated on D's...JB legacy could end up just like that but more of a well balanced drafter. Time will tell. And hope for our sakes, he does it again this draft.
I think what they should do is let them not be cap compliant for injuries, for the playoffs, but the lineup you dress must be cap compliant. Kucherov, Stamkos or their equivalent would need to be scratched to dress a compliant lineup.

CHARGING!
You see 10 charges a game in the playoffs and not one is ever called, where players actually leave their feet. Scheifele's doesn't even leave his feet and glides around 5ft before hitting him. He is skating back trying to protect the net and Evans exposes himself to a hit and Scheifele takes the hit. It's a clean hit.
-
Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with the hit. He's is trying to score on the empty net and exposes himself to do it. It's a solid body check.

Will be arguably the best dman in the league in a very short period of time. He is on a great team and could win multiple cups that has a young core. There is no reason for him to want to be out unless all he cares about is $$$ which I doubt. Even if you threw 12-13m at him The Avs would match it.
-
Just expose him in the expansion draft Seattle would be pretty dumb to pass on him with the lackluster dman that will be available.

He won't take a discount. Literally, had a conversation with him years ago and he said he is only playing for Vancouver if the dollars are right. So pass.

A lot of people are underestimating how good The Jets are. They have 3 great two way centres. There was no time that McDavid was on the ice when he wasn't matched up against a good player. That with Hellebuyck in goal is why I had them upsetting The Oilers but I thought they'd lose in 6 or 7 not a sweep!

Hi all,
Serious question, but I wasn't sure where to ask it. Mods feel free to move this thread to a better place.
I've noticed more and more over the last couple years that I'll get emails (that I choose to receive, not spam) that have links to websites, and the period is missing between the name of the site and the domain name (org, com, etc.). For instance, the link might be https://sitenameorg/restoflink. This is happening even with some larger, more professional outfits.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there some setting I have control over to improve this, or is it just sloppy work by those sending emails that I just have to put up with.
The sender(s) might be doing that so the email isn't classified as junk.

In person hearing - that's at least 5 games.
Honestly, with his history in the playoffs of extremely dirty hits he should be done for the series.

Duchene wanted out of Colorado. How did that work out for him?
[Rumour] Eichel wants out of Buffalo. Says there is disconnect with organization.
