Yup. If you watched what Colorado did to them in five playoff games last season, they are closer to being a crap team than a good team imo.
That doesn't make them that kind of crap. They were still a very good team in the regular season. I know they did poorly in the playoffs but compared to the Canucks...

We played crap teams and lost and that’s crap.
Is Calgary crap?
And two games into the season with new players, i hope we all know it may take some games.

Well that sucked. What worries me, well ok so 2 games is not much but based on that.....Theres a clear lack in creativity. Not sure why, but theres no real pressure against the opositions net and that has me worried more then anything else. but ok...still early, but u need to find ways to generate chances and its just not clickingg right now.
On paper it looked great. But maybe with the new players we acquired, it may take time for the players to gel. The only positive i can see is that at least they worked hard. Or maybe it's only a small positive.

For the first two games, lets throw out some positives or silver linings.
We played well in Edmonton, but didn't win. That's ok, because that happens in hockey.U get over it. In Calgary, we played hard, seem sluggish at times but at least we didn't get blown out.
Edmonton won the first game even tho i felt we played a better game. Then they played the Kings and that was wild. 6 - 5. It felt like the Oilers played the typical Oilers hockey.
In the end, the Canucks competed. They may not have won, but the compete level is there for the most part at least. It's not over. Maybe as long as the compete is consistent, it might get better as the season progresses, when the players get to know each other.

that was close

This forum has a blind support for any decision that Benning makes. It's as glaringly obvious to anyone with with a neutral eye as the vitriolic hate that spews from HFBoards is. Before this happened, nobody had even discussed the idea of waiving Baertschi because it seemed unfathomable. Now that it's happened, and those of us that don't conform to the "Everything is awesome" groupthink mentality that overwhelms these boards are voicing our displeasure with the move, the "bros" are out in full force defending a move that, just a week ago, most of them likely would have been waving their hand at.
Well if you bother to look a little bit deeper u would understand why baer was waived so it's not just blind support but support after hearing the issues.

I have read from reputable sources that canucks2288 was a double ivy league graduate of yale and harvard

if he's a professional, would understand the situation and continue being a pro about it through the process
$925,000 on the big team, $70,000 in Utica, because of others mistakes.
This is just a part of Benning's drafting that has added talent and depth - Over 200 losses over the last 4 years, talent and depth? Maxed out cap every year though!
Why is Benning's drafting thought to be so good? Look around the league EVERY team has more draft picks from the last six drafts playing than the Canucks, some from just the last three years. How can teams drafting so much later have so much more success?
In the entire Canuck history there have been 21 top 8 picks Benning has 4 of them, almost 20% of all top 8 picks. Of the other 17 only 3 can be said to have been outright bombs, 3 out of 17.Benning was hired as the scouting guru, the guy that was going to find more players, faster because he had all this insight and evaluating skill superior to others. Hmmmm, maybe not so much eh? Other teams ahead of the Canucks must just be getting lucky all the time or the Canucks just have bad luck.
Now go into names of all the players that are not being managed by the Canucks, those without contracts learning systems there than the Canucks play, those not under the watchful eye of the team.
Whatever, we wait to see the next incredible move, truly and with hope, it helps the team, I fear he trades a young asset to help move a vet or something. "Hey everyone is happy, let's throw Tryamkin in with a deal to move Beagle or Schaller, or maybe another draft pick or two, they are just crap shoots anyway"
You seem to be picking things from anywhere to fit your narrative.

Eriksson has not impressed (as usual). Time to dump this expensive pile of poo.
Is it possible to waive him? And how much do we save?

But JB did tell him to play tough on our 4th line when he signed the damn contract!! Win or lose fights, just frigging drop the gloves to show the fans you do care!
damn it, if he doesn't drop'em, he must not be tough and he must not care. Alright then, drop them damn it.

Has dropped them in the pasted same with Benn...also if schaller would have dropped them he would have made a impacted to green, also Jake or schaller could have ran over their 8 million dollar D man....
Yes, those gloves have fallen of his hands in the past.

Nothing ever got "overblown".... The guy is just a whiner and what he said back then wasn't really news, and still isn't now.
You simply needed an excuse to hate him. That's it. Plain and simple. It's really sad.

He simply is too stupid to figure out that his conduct isn't acceptable. Utica's press box is the appropriate spot for this piece of garbage until he realizes he has no spot on an NHL team and retires.
This has nothing to do with his play or effort. You just want an excuse to hate him. And you know it. Stop whining already.

I like Myers game so far. A few hiccups here and there but he's definitely engaged and being proactive out there. Demko looks like a star.
Disappointed in Hughes and Pettersson thus far. They've looked pretty pedestrian for the majority of this game.
You're right. Total busts...trade'em

Just dump Louie, even a 7th Rd pick.
I'd rather Zack MacEwen in the lineup over Lucic.
I got a better trade idea
To NHL team: LE
To Canucks: No no, it's ok....keep him. Our gift to you.

This is the like the fourth time he's talked about the captaincy in the last two years. First his dad came out saying he would be a great captain in Vancouver and here is another comment from Bo himself.
Personally I find this distasteful and extremely gross. If you are meant to be captain you shouldn't have to publically lobby for it. It is an honour given and him even expecting his name in the conversation bugs me.
I think he should stop talking on the matter. Let things play out. Does this bother anyone else?
i counted two here and no.
