were you at the event? There were huge projections screens blocking 6 sections of the arena.
i did find it sort of weird that some people decided to go sit in those sections anyways and watch on the screens.
No i was not, anyways that makes more sense then.. i guess a sell-out was 17k. Everything id read leading up to event mentioned a figure closer to 20k.
Anyways note to UFC fans if you want the UFC to come back here its probably a good idea to not throw a beer at Dana White... Apparently this happened at the end of the Macdonald fight.
No more hat stealing either... wonder if it was the same guy both times.

Oh scalpers got fracked lol article
Under Event wrap.. "17000 people attended and $4m was made in ticket sales"
Roughly 3000 empty seats. hopefully next time ppl who want to go will actually get a chance. I hated seeing all the empty seats.

cro cops awesome.. same for barry.. great guy. Major props to him as he probably had a real good chance of possibly ending the fight had he rushed mirko after that 2nd kd.

That's what you expect from heavyweights, though.
I understand its what everyone wants but anytime a fight has been on the ground tonight the fans have booed. Even during the griffin dunam fight which was a great fight..

stupid fan steals the hat off Thiago.

tough crowd.. stand up and throw em or bust.

Jesus...terrible start to this event.. Lavigne whom im guessing is from Quebec?? ???? up the prelims;
then that amature local ref looking like a jackass breaking the guys apart.
Is it normal for the arena to be half empty still?? It just looks embarassingly bad with so many empty seats.. Hopefully it'll all be full for the ppv tho.

Richmond peeps, have any of you parked at Lansdowne and then taken the train? Do they have parking security or something like that monitoring the lot?
There were a ton of cars whom are so obviously parked there and taking skytrain.. I didnt see anyone patrolling when i parked there on the weekend. 1st as long as you are reasonably around the 4 hour limit you shouldnt have a problem.. I just parked in a busy section as well and not so close to the station and made sure it didnt look like i was blatantly headed to the train.

Took the line today. fracking Love it! The only downside i have is like mentioned before Landsdowne only has two ticket machines?? That's just not going to fly...not to mention the credit/debit does not work on them unless there is some secret....and leaving it in the machine longer does nothing...
The seats are amazingly spacious compared to skytrain. There were lot of ppl on just for the sake of making the trip so it will be interesting to see how the number of riders holds up but every train i took was packed. They should have no problem averaging 100k in this first year imo. The richmond stops were fracking packed... More traffic than even Waterfront on this day at least.

LOL all the ppl sitting at english bay etc for the fireworks.!

Fkin Weird. Sunny skies at my moms house in Steveston, and snow covered roads in E-richmond. There is already a good 3 cm on the ground; so much for that forcast.
