That was a sick pass to get side control. Was surprised Lindland got out of the armbar though.
-
Yeah I've seen some of his fights on Youtube. That's amazing that he can climb a rope with one hand. 10 wins, 9 by submission. Stoked to see him on HD for the first time.
-
King Mo fights a top heavyweight with his hands low like that, he's going to get KTFO.
-
Jake Shields had some choice words for Cung Le on InsideMMA, saying that Le was trying to duck him.
I haven't seen him fight before, I'm quite excited to see that.
PVR is set up for WEC. Going to watch SF live and switch between that and the Flames and the Saints.
-
Anybody watching WEC or Stikeforce cards tonight?
-
And, as Lil Nog has been forced to withdraw from UFC 109 against Brandon Vera, it looks as if Vera may be fighting Jon "Bones" Jones instead. I'd love to see this. I think Bones would manhandle Vera.
http://www.examiner....-as-replacement
Hopefully Bones doesn't handle him as badly as he handled Hamill.

Rashad/Thiago is shaping up to be a terrific fight if both stay healthy. I'm giving the edge to Rashad because I'm a fan, but I think Thiago has more power. The longer the fight goes, the advantage goes to Rashad because he's shown the ability to end fights late.
I'm going to say Rashad knocks him out in the second.

You're acting as if GSP is the only fighter who walks and fights heavier than his listed weight.
-
UFC 111 is the rumoured GSP/Hardy matchup.
That would be a stellar couple of main events.
Well, just because we haven't seen GSP in a while. Carwin/Mir is a terrific matchup. I don't think Mir would do as much talking as he did before his last one. Winner takes on Minotauro/Velasquez for the interim HW title.
I guess of the 5, Dos Santos had to be the one shut out. Shame, after that dominating performance against Cro Cop.

BJ wants another shot at GSP... why doesn't GSP go down a class and take his belt?
-
Figures you'd say that.
Who you have in mind? As much as I hate BJ, after handling Sanchez the way he did, he's in a class of his own.
-
Are there any lightweights worth fighting in UFC right now? Or any promotion? Maybe a WEC guy can move up.
I think BJ may move up and take on Jon Fitch or Josh Koscheck.
-
Probably good thing I didn't spend money.
WTG Ken-Flo tho. Hardly salvaged the night tho.
Haven't seen main event yet.
-
Agree and he was able to get out from underneath Marcus, although getting out from underneath Roy would be tougher, I also think he can do it and win this fight.
Marcus weighs just as much as Nelson.
-
Schaub, Big Baby, Kimbo definitely.
Not sure who to go for in the other two main card fights. I like Frankie Edgar, but don't know his opponent all that well. I like both Hamill and Jon Jones.
I think Schaub has a pretty good chance against Nelson. Nelson's signature move so far this season has been 'bellying' the other guy. Schaub was able to control the fight against a world-class wrestler in Jon Madsen, so Nelson's size shouldn't really be an issue.
-
Jones and Hamill will be a great fight. Like both those guys.
-
I personally enjoyed watching fights more where when the guy was down you still could knee and kick them in the head. I'm not one to care where the fights were being held but rather what was going on in them.
Here's a little shogun treat

The more regulation, the likelier younger players can get into the sport, the better fighters will be produced in the long run.
I'm holding out for MMA to be competed at the university level.
-
Dana has also managed to get regulation in many places. Like Massachusets.
-
He's been announced there for a while.
I'm guessing the finale is Roy Nelson against Jon Madsen or Marcus Jones.
-
Tito did NOTHING in the third. I was worried that it would only go 10-9 after a pair of round victories by Tito, because the Sadollah fight had such a close score in the last round. The judges didn't drop below the 9 score.
For whatever reason, one judge gave Forrest all three rounds. No way he won the second.

What. A. Scrap.
/Forrest
What. A. Pussy.
/Koscheck
I was thinking after the third stoppage that the Rumble/Kos fight would not finish, and they'd have an awesome rematch in a couple of months.
To me, Koscheck just choked out a blind guy who came off a three week turnaround. Total BS. That second eye gouge was intentional, and I hope that the NSAC reverses the decision. Rumble was not the same afterwards.

Anthony Johnson actually weighed in less than his opponent did for once.
He came in at 170, Koscheck came in at 171. So stoked for this fight. I flipping hate Kos.
I'm also betting that Johnson will be heavier than Kos tomorrow. As much as I dislike Kos, he's explosive. So's Rumble. This is going to be an awesome fight.

Lesnar's looking at three fights against Carwin, Dos Santos and Velasquez. Maybe Minotauro in the middle there if he gets healthy and takes down another opponent. As much as I like Mir, I don't think he's the best the UFC can offer up to Lesnar.
In my mind, Lesnar is the most beatable of the UFC Champions. I fully expect Carwin to be him when they eventually fight.
-
The rumour is Carwin/Velasquez in February at 109 or 110. 109 is the weaker card right now.
