  1. No doubt - but I am questioning the pass int on the Pats that led to the Panther's TD - looked more like the Panther's receiver was holding the Pats defender - in other words, similar to hockey - he was diving.

I think it was a hold and I believe it was the correct call.

  2. Not rigged, IMO. Congrats to the Riders. Sucks because we looked in control but credit to the Riders for keeping up and taking over when it mattered(we sure missed SolE at the end there). I think our guys are just saving up for when we host the GC again next year. ;)

  3. Well the weekend is upon us!! Really hoping for a BC sweep in Saskatchewan but would be happy with .500 by Sunday night. And to Riders fans, I know that we have had our grievances this season but lets agree on one thing.....whoever wins on Sunday beats the crap outta Calgary the following week! Sound good? Go VI Raiders and BC Lions!!! :towel:

  4. We're talking epistemology here, not just Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Again, I suggest reading through the link to the article more than just skimming it once; it takes a few times to really get what is being said. Philosophy is not some crackpot field that is to be ignored. Day one in Philosophy 101 dives into the God debate head first and everything goes from there.

Maybe tomorrow we can dissect why someone would sit on the fence and claim they don't know if God exists, or that God does not exist?

Please try not to drag all agnostics through the mud. A lot of us just don't care anymore. I have been preached both sides ad nauseum for most of my life. I don't know what will happen after I die....I believe it will be the same as before I was born. But who the frack knows and I'll never claim to know.

  5. I was happy at the fact they were down 21-0 at that point in the game. It was nice to see and probably humbled a lot of the season ticket holders in the stands as the Seahawks never get in a deficit that big at home.

I already posted in here a couple days ago that I expect the Seahawks to win.

 so serious...I doubt anyone has been humbled yet. And I'm pretty sure everyone picked Seattle to win.

  6. A pats win would've made this weekend a perfect weekend, but the seahawks losing 21-0 at home to a depleted Buccaneers offense is just absolutely spectacular!

Someone with such a high football IQ such as yourself should know that theres lots of football left to be played.

  7. Bit late, but great game by the Packers, getting it done without 75% of the receivers (Cobb, Jones, Finley) and linebackers (Matthews, Perry, Jones). And I think we've got a very special player in Eddie Lacy! He's been on fire lately, the Pack hasn't seen this kind of rushing numbers for a very long time.

Lacy has had a coming out party!! Lot of fun to watch and hope he can keep it up...Pack will be legit once they start getting players back.

  8. I still think DeMarco is better. Pierce is going to get concussed next time he gets sacked.

DeMarco is clutch, 3rd and 10 throws a beautiful throw to Taylor. DeMarco will be a hell of a QB in the CFL.

I disagree but hope that I am wrong. I think you may be confusing this years back up QB with last years(sure miss Reilly right now). Did you not see how the game completely changed once Buck stepped in? Pierce may not last but he knows how to run an offense. I think it was VERY telling how Demarco finally threw a good pass once the pressure was relieved by Buck.

  9. Pierce sucks and always has. This man is the worst QB I've seen play more than 5 downs. He can't run, he can't throw, he gets injured every tap on the shoulder.

    He simply sucks.

    Say what? :picard:

Good game once Demarco got yanked. Definitely something to build off of going into the final week. Gotta say, though, each snap Buck takes makes me nervous...O line has got to step up their game and protect him.

  10. Manning was there 1998-2010 (didn't play 2011)

In that time frame the defense was almost always ranked in the top 15. The year they won the super bowl they were the 23rd ranked defense for points allowed, 21st ranked for yards allowed. Not that great. But then you look at the years they were eliminated in the playoffs.

The year before their super bowl win, defense was ranked 2nd for points allowed and 11th for yards allowed. The year after their super bowl win, they were ranked 1st for points allowed, 3rd for yards allowed. The year after that they were ranked 7th for points allowed 11th for yards allowed.

Response to the comments in bold: What legitimate Pats fans say we haven't won a super bowl since the last one because the defense sucked? 07 we lost because the Giants defensive line manhandled the Patriots offense, and then there was that miraculous Tyree catch that 9/10 times doesn't get caught. The other years, the Patriots just got outplayed on both sides of the ball. Any true Patriots fan can admit that. There's no excuses. The year Ray Rice took the first play of the game for a 70 yard TD or whatever, that was one of the worst games to watch. We were outplayed in all three areas of football.

Also, the difference between when people say the Pats haven't won because of a bad defense, and the difference between manning is that MANNING is the main reason why the Colts got eliminated in those games because HE had subpar games by his own standards that he set during stellar regular seasons. That is why people get on Manning's case. Last year, MANNING is the reason why the Broncos lost in OT, because he made a dumb, rookie play by throwing across his body into traffic when in the regular season where the stakes aren't as high, 100 out of 100 times in that scenario he would throw the ball away.

Just as sick as you are by Pats fans hijacking the thread, I'm sick of you generalizing Pats fans as the only "bad" fans in the NFL. Ravens fans tear apart Manning and his playoff choking performances all the time. I've heard Seahawks and Jets fans use the line "Tim Tebow has more playoff wins for the Broncos than Peyton Manning."

I've heard A LOT of people use that "joke." I didn't think it mattered what team they were a fan of.

Do the Colts wish they got more out of the Manning era? Of course! Should Isray have been a little more tactful in his words? Maybe....but I'm not one to chastise honesty. I am intrigued though with all this focus on the Sunday nighter..wonder which Peyton we will see . ;)

  11. I'm born and raised in BC now living in Ontario. This is the EXACT reason why Easterners despise Westerners and their poor me inferiority complex whining agendas.

Life is unfair. Deal with it. Be happy. In this day and age you can watch any Canuck game anywhere anyway. Do what you can and boycott CBC then, or stop whining...it's nauseating and overdone.

WOW  !!! Well done...*wiser clap*

  12. Sorry but if I'm on a bike and see one of my friends get hit I'm chasing the the guy who hit my friend.

Did anybody not see that one of the bikers is in critical condition in the hospital? I don't like bikers but the driver of the range rover was negligent.

Certainly is unfortunate the biker is injured. Onus is on him though, he shouldn't have been there(plus he didn't even have a license).
