LA is a tumor on the face of the earth. Vancouver certainly isn't a world renowned city. Certainly not in the top five rated cities to live in the world for the past 10 years? Last year, the highest ranked U.S. city was 28th. And it sure wasn't L.A.

Kind of like infinite highway expansion and urban sprawl. Look at LA. Look how well that worked out for them.

For one who claims to be majoring in Poli sci you certainly generalize a foolish amount about the 'leftists'. As for driving your car to work; what happens when you run out of space to expand your highways? Does the government pay hundreds of millions of dollars to buy up houses, raze them, and pay billions to create highways over those residential areas? The Port Mann Bridge et al interchange looks insane. Holy crap... that looks almost like the Orange Crush.

Ugh. Possibly the one time I'm blessed to be in Poco regarding transit. Even though the 159 service is incredibly poor. And also, every time I get on the skytrain I get mildly annoyed by the ridiculously inaccurate map. It's seriously ugly and inaccurate. Geographically speaking. The new maps at the stations look nice, because they had space to roll out a somewhat detailed region.

Damnit.... I can't say I'm surprised, but the cash has to be ponied up from somewhere. Nitro, is this transit playing hardball?

The coast meridian bridge is long overdue. Trying to get from North Poco to South Poco, or vice versa, can take up to 45 minutes in rush hour. That is obscene, it is a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk.

Also, that Malcom writer is Carole James's brother?

Thanks again Nitro for the insider info. Appreciate it. One thing about transit, though, is the new maps in the expo/millenium line cars: they aren't geographically accurate. If I was a first time rider I would have no idea that the skytrain runs through south new westminster, or that it bends north towards metrotown. I find this a huge flaw. It's just a big square with appendages for downtown and surrey right now.
