  1. Belicheck is greatest coach of all time but boy is he being a puss http://www.milehighreport.com/2014/1/20/5327428/bill-belichick-says-wes-welker-deliberately-took-out-aqib-talib
  2. Will make one last point for the night. Pats fans you maybe annoying as hell but your team had 1 hell of a year. The fact the team made it to the AFC Championship is a miracle and gives credence to how good of a coach BB is. A lot of young guys on the Pats really developed this year and next year I believe the Pats will be a force to reckon with. They have the cap space to make moves and I could easily see someone a wide receiver such as Eric Decker joining the Pats. As always though drafting for the Pats will also be key. Ya it sucks your team lost but just remember there is a shiny bright light at the end of the day.
  3. Early thoughts on the Super Bowl... As all of you on this message board know I am a die hard Broncos fan. If you didnt well now you do. Honestly, I am a die hard Broncos fan but depite the annoying Hawks fans I have had a sweet spot for the Seahawks as they are the closest team. That is obviously irrelevant now but I can kind of relate now to how Bruins fans who also liked the Canucks felt. In terms of the game I think it has the potential to be real close but inevitably I see Denver winning. There are several reasons for it. 1) The Seahawks D is great and physical but so are the Broncos receivers. Welker, DT, Decker and Julius Thomas the TE can all play a physical game. So the intimidation associated with the Hawks secondary gets lost on Denver 2) The best QB by a mile is Peyton Manning. I know this is real obviously and simple but I still state it. As I said today, I felt the matchup with NE was a legacy sort of matchup that Peyton needed. He needs a second Super Bowl to silence all critics and be the undisputed Greatest QB of all time and I think he knows that. The Peyton I have seen in these playoffs has been more mature and much more cool and collective. I think that in part is due to the fact he needs to be as he recognizes his legacy rides on winning the second SB and this is his shot. 3) The Broncos run D is surprisingly good. #7 ranked during the regular season and has only allowed 65 yards a game in the playoffs. I dont think they can fully stop Marshawn Lynch but I do believe they can contain him 4) If the Broncos can contain Marshawn Lynch tg some degree then the Seattle offense is predicated on Russell Wilson being good. - I have said for a long time including in this thread that Russel Wilson is a system QB and IMO very overrated (I am sure Hawks fans will tear me a new one for this statement). There is nothing uniquely good about him. He just happens to be in a great system. His inconsistency of late proves that IMO. I believe that the inconsistency will show light in a couple of weeks. Especially if he doesnt have Percy Harvin to create plays for him. The Russel Wilson inconsistency factor becomes less important if Harvin does play but it is there. 5) No 12th man for the Hawks- For better or for worse, this Hawks team does its best when it is at home and it won't be. I think that takes the umph out of the team to some level.
  4. gregg rosenthal‏@greggrosenthal21 mins Seahawks fans threw food at Bowman on his way out.
  5. It will be a close tilt. Most betting lines will probably have 49ers or Hawks winning I think.
  6. K don't cry too much that the Pats lost? I know it sucks but don't let it influence your life because clearly it had an effect on your posts.
  7. 49ers got hosed. Seahawks fans better never bitch and whine about 06 again.
  8. Brady has done squat since 05. He has been quite average for a while now....Also lets not forget 3 Super Bowls during spy gate and 0 since
  9. Don't need to come up with new stuff. Regardless of what you think others are seeing how irrational your logic is.
  10. NO SK because now we have to see how much impact each QB had. And if that argument doesnt fit NPF can just veto Brady bein a better QB since he has such excellent football knowledge.
  11. No that was clearly implied. Now you change your argument to head to head wins. Again absurd logic. I know you are upset the Pats lost but no excuse for being stupid. .
  12. His playoff record? The one where he has done squat since 05 which was coincidentally the last time he had an excellent defence. You are telling me all that matters is rings and now are changing your criteria to suit your argument. I can win an argument too if I change my criteria every time someone raises a flaw in it.
  13. Denver had the #7 run D in the league this season. I think they will be fine
  14. Aww you are trying to troll. Thats cute.
  15. For the record, I am cheering for the Hawks as they are a significantly easier opponent IMO
  16. So Eli is better than Brady as he is 2-0 against him in Super Bowls.
  17. Brady at QB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kapernick. The equalizer. Also Denvers run d has been real good this year. If they can limit rushing yards as they did with Blount that forces Kapernick to throw which is where he will get into trouble. Get your Manning hate glasses off and look at it objectively. Its all good though the Pats lost. So clearly you are mad which is fine
  18. Your saying rings are the be all and end all. Except they arn't. Is Trent Dilfer a better QB than an Marino in hindsight? Oh gee using your ring logic he is. Get your facts straight man. Manning is better than Brady on virtually every stat except for super bowls. If your logic to say Brady is better is Super Bowls you are telling me all that matters is rings. By doing so you are using terrible logic.
  19. And we have a winner. These teams offences (specifically quaterback) is no where near Brady and as a result as a whole their offences are weaker. In hindsight, I am glad the Broncos played the Pats as they learned how to stop a power rusher in Blount. That bodes well against SF or SEA as there rushing attack is a power style as well. Keepcrying though NPF, it looks good on you.
  20. K so Robert Horry is a better player than Lebron because he has more rings right? Do you realize how stupid your logic sounds?
  21. Really thought going in this week Denver would win as this was one of those legacy games for Peyton. It mattered much more to him than it did for Brady. Clearly shows.
  22. Been a die hard Peyton fan for as long as I ccan remember and this has been by far his best game. He knew his D was a flaw and he mitigated it by sustaining long drives. Big props to Gase and Peyton. Methadological game
  23. Pierre Lebrun was on with the Moj a few minutes ago here are some of the highlights. The Canucks have identified a desire to add a center- @Real_ESPNLeBrun The Canucks want the luxury of Brad Richardson as a fourth line center @Real_ESPNLeBrun In a perfect world VAN would acquire a C that has term past this season. No desire to acquire rentals according to @Real_ESPNLeBrun Arpan‏@rum0r14m Vancouver will keep an eye on Colorado with their plethora of forwards according to @Real_ESPNLeBrun Taj‏@taj19445m Lebrun suggesting Avs as a possible trade partner. Said Canucks are willing to move one of their Dman and that's what the Avs are looking 4
  24. The problem is none of their hosts have an NFL background. There analysts such as Berger and Farhan do. IMO Farhan is the best NFL analyst on 1040. Ironic considering how much he and TSN love the CFL. You are better off listening to NFL shows form the states. One that I listen to regularly is around the league podcast from some of the guys at the NFL Network
