I agree.... plus it sets a standard that the new mgmt team can work with moving fwd when other players (especially the higher end ones) are faced with re-signing at what the team has set it's "salary tiering" at or accepting that they'll be moved to try and get more elsewhere.
No more team caving and overpaying to re-sign a player before the TDL, and no more holding onto them hoping negotiations go well after the TDL.
It's what we've been wanting for a long time.
I don't think that's what they're doing. I think their decisions are made and they are waiting to tmrw to let the market play out and the offers (hopefully) improve.
I'd rather they err on the side of plays being onside, because they can be challenged after.
We just had an incorrect offside call cost us a great scoring chance the other night (which nothing can be done about)
Maybe coaches should be allowed to challenge a penalty as well as a goal if they suspect the play was offside ?
Agreed our D had a rough one but despite too many odd man rushes i thought our lack of speed showed the most. We got pinned in our end a lot and just couldn't seem to win foot races to loose pucks to get us out of our end.
We're not in a position to take on that 2 mill though. Maybe if they took Poolman too. They need RD depth, and he's currently on LTIR so they may be able to make the cap work till playoffs).
