5am start for me which is perfect. My 4 month old daughter loves to wake up at 5am...

well that is on him, not Green. Green has spent a long time with him, trying to teach him. then Jake goes out and plays good for a few games then he just sort of floats, he is 24 now and should not need anyone to hold his hand, sad when everyone saw great things in him, he just didn't want to do the work.
Oh I completely agree

Nice to have depth - and nice to have options. This shortened schedule is going to start filling the infirmary given how condensed it is ... already happening to other teams. Like him or not - he's blocking LE... so is Hogs... also it's good to get 11 games out of the way that quickly and to come out unscathed (knock on wood)...well not entirely we have lost Hamonic and Haryulk
Depth is good I agree. Its just sad that is what virtanen has become... Or always has been, press box depth... He basically just fills a spot.

I just need to ask. Win or lose, is anybody missing Jake Virtanen?
OK, maybe not fair to ask since we haven't lost without him. But.

I agree he didn't look good out there in O/T but in his defense, he is not the usual guy that is deployed in O/T. I would give him a bit of time with it before passing judgement on his play.
That's all this fan base gives Jake... Time. If its not one thing he has to figure out, it's another. I get it, we all fear the cam neely situation will happen all over again. But Jake is not a smart player. I've given him time, but now he is my official Dana Murzyn. If he played a simple game like Motte he'd be effective. Unfortunately his play is poor, his decions are poor. His passes are always in the skates, and there is no effort.
Good riddance....
Sorry, rant over.
Edit:
For referance i did not like Murzyn...

I left a job on paid furlough and now working again full time. Being on 80% to sit at home isn’t bad, just thought I don’t want to wait until my company makes cuts to see if I would be placed at risk so jumped to somewhere a lot more secure.
meant I got to watch pretty much all the playoffs from all teams but now I have to actually get up In the morning it’s a pick and choose on the games
Nice one!
Yeah, I'm fortunate enough that I get full pay and while on leave, and I know I have my job when things settle. I may eventually move to another job but as for now I'm secure and enjoying time with my newborn daughter!

glad I changed jobs and don’t have the 6am starts any more
The only great thing about covid19 is that I've been put on temporary leave. Meaning 4am starts are fine. Combine that with my newborn daughter who likes to wake up at that time, the timing couldn't be better. I'm looking forward to my 2 month old learning about hockey! I hope the canucks deliver for her first game

Us playing terrible.
Yeah, I've been reading through the thread here and noticed that.
Don't worry, I'm in my place now so the boys will start playing. Expect a game 2 effort here on out!

Sorry guys and girls. I've been MiA but now in back in my place. Just woke up and I'm about to pour myself a coffee and a bowl of cereal.
What did I miss?

Or if Benning can pull a rabbit out of the hat and find the cap space for Toffoli, we may start Podz on the third line. Just imagine how strong our forward lines could be...
Like you said, drool!

This...!its been said so many times. Despite us looking good now, our window is just starting slightly to open... imagine 2-3 years trom now.... Drool just drool.
While I agree, and look forward to seeing us in 2 or 3 years, I think we are forgetting how skilled Forsberg was. If Petey amounts to be a Forsberg, he will be one of the best players to play the game. Forsberg was a beast!
But yeah, we are just starting to see what the Canucks will be. Quinn, Petey, Bowser, Horvat, in three years.
Podz hopefully on the second line! My god, it's going to be fun!

I apologise for not doing my part last game. I didn't watch it. This game I went to my normal pre game routine and then come game time (345am) I poured myself a bowl of cereal, and a cup of coffee.
The boys are unbeaten with that combo!

If the Canucks top six out scores Vegas top six. The Canucks bottom six out scores the Vegas bottom six and Canucks defense chips in. Markstrom outperforms the Vegas goalies. Toffoli and Myers comes back. Canucks have a good chance to move on.
The Canucks have more desire, heart and character. Let the games begin.
Go Canucks Go!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure if we do just that in any series we have a pretty damn good chance at the cup. Not often does a defence's offense out score a team's forward group.
Throw in the rest you wrote and we've got the Stanley Cup wrapped up

Been there done that and yes, not moving it still isn't good. Let alone thinking about moving a puck or absorbing more hits.
Exactly

So the new routine is a bowl of cereal and coffee. Whisky is out! Too bad as game 6 starts at 1245am. Will be weird having coffee and cereal then.
My mistake, 345 start. Coffee and cereal won't be so weird

Myers looks alright, his shoulder isn’t hanging low! Good to see
Are you kidding me? He's not even moving it. I'd say the positive sign is that he's not in a sling. I've had years of shoulder injuries, and the way he's not moving it isn't good. I hope I'm wrong.

I've been pissed with Jake these playoffs. But with him on the first line it spreads things out. If he can just keep it simple, create space and retrieve pucks for Petey and Miller, imo he's doing his job. If he scores, bonus.
He's lazy, doesn't have the best hockey iq so just keep it simple.

I'm changing things up today. I didn't set my alarm today, and left it to fate. I woke up 10 mins before game time.
I've switched up whisky with a bowl of cereal and coffee.
I've done my part, now the canucks need to do theirs.

2011 a hobbled team took the bruins to seven , healthy we would’ve won. Please stop with this our current team would win nonsense .
Top to bottom the 2011 team was stacked. All four lines contributed, all 3 pairs of D were great, and our goalie tandem was one of the best. Best PP, second best pk(i believe). You can't even compare these two teams.

3 players to score in the first period
in General Hockey Discussion
Posted
Ok so here's the thing. I've been doing a bet with crazy odds. The bet is just as the title says.
Correctly pick 3 players to score in the first period on a given night.
The odds normally range from around 1 in 300 to 1 in 900 (depending on which players you pick.
What I am hoping for is an ongoing discussion of who people will think will score in the first period of a game that night. Who's hot, who scores a lot against a given team etc.
I recently won $7500 on a $10 bet, and well, I'd like to repeat that. And maybe if you too like to bet, can maybe win. I use the local Norwegian lottery site, so I'm not sure if Canada has the same bet.
